A few hours later, he was back to tell me the outcome and it turns out Mr Lewis is in a huge debt that needs to be settled as soon as possible. I smacked my lips and told Anthony he could go. I walked to the large window, dipped my hands in my pocket and stared at the buzzing city. Others find it distracting but I find it easier to think things through

Tony asks as his eyes scan the children. Adrian looks confused for a moment but the look is quickly masked with a protective stare that I like. "Why do you want to know?" He asks as he takes his hands out of his pockets and takes a protective stand. If hes willing to go against us then maybe he is telling the truth after all. "Because they are my sons," Tony growls getting pissed off. Adrian's jaw drops and he struggles to get his words out. "They are Brothers right? Same mom?”

"You think you could get away after messing with the guns, Anthony?" Anthony spits out blood from his mouth as he breathes hard while staring at Lexis in fear. "I...I needed the money." Lexis tilts his head, "You needed the money?And you decide to move my guns?" He nods his head before standing up. "Wow, what a lame excuse." Anthony shakes his head abruptly. "Please, please.I made a mistake, give me one more chance." He pleads desperately. Lexis sighs and dips his hands into his pockets. "A mistake?.." He scoffs before adding on. "If mistakes are easily forgiven, why then would there be police and laws?" He shakes his head and turns to one of his men.

Larry glanced over at Tony, evidently annoyed. Why should the latter keep defending his wife as if he knew her really well? “President Lewis is a sly old fox. Will he be intimidated by her?” Even Jerry was slightly concerned. “We’ll see in a minute.” Once again, Tony answered almost immediately. He seemed to be even more talkative than Stanley today.

Gritting her teeth, Layla refused. "You stubborn girl, why are you so obstinate!" Cheryl jabbed Layla's forehead forcefully, frustration evident in her voice. She continued to persuade Layla, "Do you know that Anthony was good friends with Mr. Black when he was abroad? You know who Mr. Black is, don't you? He's the world's richest person! Levi commanded. "Okay." Liam stiffly said. He angrily turned to leave the study, but Anthony's voice stopped him in his tracks. "Your childhood friend is back in the country, and he will be engaged in a multimillion-dollar project in collaboration with our company. We have given him an office at the company to use, and he will be coming back tomorrow." Anthony said. "I will be prepared to welcome him." Liam coldly responded. He then walked out of the study. However, Anthony and Levi were right behind him.

Anthony couldn’t reveal my true identity—my father had made that clear from the start—so he did the only thing he could. He lifted his foot and drove it into the back of Leon’s knee. Leon crumpled to the floor with a dull thud, his kneecaps cracking against the marble. Then Anthony turned to face me. The anger on his face melted away in an instant, replaced by something desperate and pleading. He bent low at the waist, his hands clasped together in front of him. The posture was a far cry from the commanding presence he projected in his boardroom meetings.

Leo said with a sigh and a frown as he looked at his uncle with annoyance. "I'm not scared and I can speak for myself" I quickly stated. I was still mad at him but my anger will have to wait. Anthony laughed and turned to Leo, " You always piss your women off, nephew. Take some tips from your good old uncle here." "I'm not his woman or part of his women" I said with a frown. "I'm his Personal Assistant" I added before Anthony laughed out loud. Now I was angry at another Shiva blood. "This day couldn't get any funnier." Anthony said in between gasps from laughing hard.
