Old, heavy, leather-bound. They weren’t just books—they were spell books. I didn’t need anyone to tell me; the strange symbols, the incantations scribbled in red ink, and diagrams of moons and blood circles were enough.

“It’s old, older than anything in the royal archives. It’s written in an ancient language, Greek or Latin perhaps, but there are annotations in a dialect none of us can fully translate.” Caelum brushed away a layer of dust and flipped it open carefully. The air filled with that papery scent of decay and magic, the kind that caused me to wrinkle my nose. The pages were filled with delicate, looping handwriting and sketches of sigils, and rituals, along with a few plants and herbs. “Yup, it's definitely a witch book.” I muttered, my eyes caught on a torn page near the middle, “Wait,” I said, pointing. “What is that?”

A shelf in the kitchen held small jars of spices, but rather than the usual garlic, pepper, or chili powder, the jars were labeled with things like Horehound, Solomon's Seal, and Myrrh. Another thing that caught our attention was the bookshelf in the living room. Most of the titles appeared to be hand-bound in leather. The names on the spines sent a chill straight through me. Herbs and Spells, Magical Uses for Mammals and Reptiles, and The Book of Shadows. The biggest book sat on a small table beside the shelf. Leo opened it and was flipping through a few pages when I leaned over his shoulder to take a look. All I found on the pages was a strange, unreadable script and some obscure hand-draw

I ask incredulously. “A grimoire or a spellbook is a textbook of magic, with instructions on how to create magical objects like talismans and amulets, how to perform magical spells, charms, and divination, and how to summon or invoke supernatural entities such as angels, spirits, deities, and demons” he explained to me carefully. “Spells huh” I said looking at the book “do you think she cast a spell on us yesterday?” “That would explain the fainting spells but why didn't they work on me?” He said looking to the side thinking.

I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth and I started getting stuck into the room as soon as the door closed. I needed to make it look like I had cleaned so I started stacking up the books and everything like that but I was paying really close attention to the names of the books. Until I came across a really ancient book of spells and witchcraft. When I picked the book up I felt the energy flowing out of it, and I looked around to make sure that the guard was still outside the closed door. I knew that this was the book that I needed. So I started looking through it and finding a whole heap of different spells that I knew would be helpful in this situation.

She asked rhetorically. "But the witches should have a store where they sell stuff related to witchcraft too." I cocked an eyebrow and crossed my hands against my chest. "Yes they do but what I'm sending you both to get is something directly from a celestial being. Kate was cursed with an ancient spell that can't be undone unless with the help of a direct god." "Wait, let me get this straight. You are sending us to one of the first ones that existed and created witches?" Cass's chest rose and feet with rapid breath. He was definitely freaking out.

Her older sister had been kind enough to drop it off, along with a change of clothing and a box of Thornton's continental—her favourite chocolates. The book looks ancient, in an intriguing way, old leather binds the pages together. “Come look at this.” I call over to Creed. Skimming my fingers along the cover. It’s so beautiful, I start skimming the first few pages seeing simpler spells like, blindness spell, forgetness spell, protection spell, as I keep scanning each page the spells get more and more complicated. “What did you find?” Creed asks when he gets up to me. “My mothers spell book… there are some very complicated spells In this.” I whisper out loud. Creeds pov.

“It's not a mistake. She chose you because she believed you could do it” “That is bullshit! I don't care what she thinks, I'm not interested” They seemed they would not take no for an answer. Freya stretch out her hands and a book appeared. “Take it” Cautiously, I asked. “What is this?” “It's a book of spells passed down through generations of high priestesses” It was a large book with a dark, worn out leather cover. On it was boldly written: BOOK OF SPELLS. “I said I don't want……”

A musty scent, a blend of old books and aged enchantments, delicately danced upon the senses, weaving a spell of nostalgia that wrapped around each visitor with a tender embrace. The shelves that lined the room, like sentinels of forgotten knowledge, bore witness to the passage of time. Ancient tomes, their pages yellowed with age, proudly displayed their grimoires, holding within them secrets woven by forgotten scribes. Vials of potions, glimmering with a mesmerizing allure, stood as silent witnesses, their contents whispering tantalizing secrets in hushed tones.
