She squealed with tears streaming from her already reddened eyes. I was short of words. I stared at them as they spat their disgust and anger through mixed chatters. Again, for the umpteenth time, I felt more than impotent. I felt helpless... unsure if I had what it took to keep these people safe. The pressure was getting heavier... worse as the seconds passed. "We need a solution to these problems," one of the elders who stood quietly by the corner spoke out. Immediately, the rumble ceased. The people lowered their voices, and listened to him as he went on.

I stammer out a response. “I just noticed that you’re… well. Maybe I should move away a little bit?” I suggest. Bellamy groans. “That’s why you’re anxious? I’m still on high alert, your discomfort makes me want to keep you as close as possible, but it’s my proximity that’s the problem.” He sounds horrified.. I see his dilemma though. I’m anxious so he doesn’t want to let go, and his holding so tight is making me anxious. Although it’s not so much that he’s close as that he is clearly still aroused and I’m awkward. How is this so embarrassing?

Look at people instead," Aren instructed as he stopped in between writing the hundredth email to manage the crisis. "We need to focus on finding the anomaly in human behavior. Each day that we’ve gotten closer to this war I’ve become more and more anxious to the point of actually becoming sick.
