A loud uproar broke out among the students. Claire chuckled behind her. "This is exactly our expression when we were informed about it too, I totally forgot to prep you, I'm sorry," she said. "No! No! This can't happen, No! How do I reach my family? My phone is the only way I get to know if they are doing okay," Kimberly cried. "I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do about it," Claire said. A drop of tear rolled down kimberly's cheeks.

"It doesn't matter anyways. I have another homework for you" I sighed. But louder than intended. "Oh, are you tired? Ugh, ugly Betty." she grabbed a handful of my hair, tugging at it. "Just remember who you are and where you stand in this school." Everyone else in the class had turned to watch. Some had their phones out and were recording. "YOU. ARE. A. FUCKING. CHARITY. CASE" she said drawing out the words more than necessary.

They then pulled me away from the door and pushed me farther into the living room. "Drive safe, Mr. and Mrs. Sallow!" Adrian called out to them, waving Mom goodbye. "What matters? What matters are you attending to?" I was still shocked and couldn't snap out of my daze just yet. I stared at Mom's sly smile in confusion. It was already getting dark out. What matters could there be for them to attend to so late in the day? "Don't bother about us. Hurry up and get dinner! Everything's getting cold at this point!"
