I will not leave you here again,” I promised him, sitting comfortably and eating the apple. I have never tasted apples like these before, they were one of the juiciest apples. Emily sighed, bending down and reaching out to retrieve it. The moment her fingers touched the fruit, she felt a gaze pinned directly to the top of her head. Slowly, Emily tilted her chin upward.

No voices. No footsteps following behind me. Just me and my book. I lifted my head slightly and felt a small sense of relief. Ha... finally. But before I could continue reading, I heard a faint sound above me. Then something small suddenly dropped into my lap. I flinched. I looked down. An apple. A perfectly red apple had landed neatly on top of my book without even rolling away. I stared at it for a moment. Where did that come from? Slowly, I looked up into the tree above me.

Fia thought it was funny that someone like him was nervous in front of her. “I meant that even we humans love apples. Right? So giving it to animals would be senseless when we can eat it”. Fia patted her feet on the floor twice before sighing and releasing her hands. “Okay then. In that case, let’s have some apples”. She began to walk towards the crates. The boy ran after her and blocked her from the tree.
