Shattered Vows

Shattered Vows

“You insisted they weren’t insects.” “I was wrong,” I replied. “No,” he said gently. “You were hopeful.” I stopped walking. He noticed immediately. “That’s not the same thing,” I said. “It used to be,” he answered. A firefly blinked near my hand. Then another. Then dozens. I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. “They’re still here,” I whispered. “They always come back this time of year,” Darius said. “Even when everything else changes.” I laughed softly. “That feels unfairly poetic.”

Possessing My Mate: The Silver Run Series

Possessing My Mate: The Silver Run Series

I was going to pick the swimming hole where we met the first time, but Xander goes there too often, and he’d noticed. This field of wildflowers is the next best option, the moon and stars illuminating the petals in a luminescent glow. Fireflies flash like flying strobe lights and crickets serenade us in the background. Solar lights line a pathway to a canvas tent. Inside sits a bed, with fuzzy blankets and pillows.

Finished this book by nonstop reading it!! Many twists and turns that keeps you on your toes. Many beautiful characters and challenges that developed them each on their own way. Definitely recommend!! Will not disappoint!!

I’m only 15 chapters in and this story is so damn good! These characters seem wild and fun and I already like most of them. Especially, Nora. This story seems to be well written, so I can’t wait to get into all the drama and chaos that I know is coming.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

When she looked closely… The firefly had two pairs of wings. A double-winged firefly? She thought about it in confusion in the dream. Someone seemed to have told her that the double-winged fireflies lived in the rainforest in Sabe of Southeast Aciatic. It was a private garden. She let the firefly go and proceeded forward. Suddenly, a shadow flashed through the dark. She was startled, then a tall, big man walked by. Cordelia followed him and saw two people hugging. They could not get away from each other… She smiled. Just when she was going to turn around to leave, an elusive voice called out to her. “Cordelia…”

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

Scent of Desire

Scent of Desire

Keir led me in a particular direction towards the southern part of the lilac garden until we reached near a huge and beautiful fountain. The fireflies of that area already started to get attracted to me as they started landing on my hair, tip of the nose, shoulders. Raising my hand, I let three or four of them sit on my hand as I showed it to Keir, “See, they look like tiny stars. Aren’t they beautiful?”

Ally then spread her both palms a little distance from the fire, feeling some heat from it. She enjoys watching the fire consuming the woods. She then weaved the smoke using her hands to make mosquitoes fly away from them. Tessa makes fun of her watching her weaving the smokes. In their surroundings, the sounds of the chirping crickets and the hooting of the owls add a meaningful night in their conversation. They are amazed at the fireflies gathered around the mangrove trees flashing their lights. It catches their eyes as the lights of the fireflies synchronizing their flashes creating a spectacular display. The stars in the sky are shimmering while the moon is shining brightly enabling them

Immortal’s Kiss Book 4 English Version

Immortal’s Kiss Book 4 English Version

I didn't notice the surroundings until suddenly I was out of the forest and I could see the lights from the park and houses. I'm back in the Capital. The sylphs have also disappeared and I can no longer see them. The fireflies are back inside the forest. I blinked. Did the fireflies just really...accompany me? I found myself dumbfounded but there is no other explanation aside from that. "How on earth?" I can't stop saying those words. The fireflies are something that you can't command. Maybe, someone deliberately made those fireflies accompany me? Who could it be? Dad? No immortal is capable of doing that... even Elijah can't command the fireflies.

Juliet's Marriage Request

Juliet's Marriage Request

A lake. The water was so clear it looked like glass, reflecting the soft glow of the moon above. A waterfall cascaded gently down smooth rocks, its silver streams shimmering under the faint light. Despite the snow-covered ground, the temperature here was strangely milder, no longer biting at my skin as harshly as before. And then there were the fireflies.

What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

She tugged on Lewis' arm happily after that. She could recognize those lights as fireflies. The young woman had never seen fireflies in real life, but she did see plenty of them on the television. Needless to say, she was excited when she realized that she had just seen actual fireflies with her own eyes. Josephine released Lewis' arm before bounding toward the fireflies excitedly. The latter called out from behind, "Slow down!" He didn't think of how romantic the scene was when he first noticed the fireflies. Instead, he only thought of two words—water source. If the fireflies appeared in this area, a water source was bound to be nearby.

This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.

Book was a page turner until I got to the end and then had to start reading 1 a day. Some closure to MsJenkins and divorce but not fully closed. No real character development and Josie is getting worse. I will keep reading for now but may be jumping ship soon if Josies situation doesn’t get better.

Both lay on the hood of the car and spent a few minutes enjoying the breeze. "I think it might rain. If it does, the sky will get too cloudy," Braston commented while Molly seemed deep in thought. "Well, then we’ll just drive home. Though I’d love to see what’s so magical here at night." "The night of the fireflies. Their light appears like a supermoon up here, and the fireflies come to dance, lighting up the whole place. It’s breathtaking." "I can’t wait." "We left the house a little late. It’s already 4:30 PM."

he said and after a while, we came to a place in the woods where many small yellow lights were flying over the whole place. "What is this?" I asked while Lucian helped me down. "It's fireflies. Do you know why they glow?" "No" "It's to attract mates or prey." He explained. I looked at then fascinated. I never knew these things existed. "They are beautiful," I said. "Not as much as you are," he said walking right behind me. I stopped and turned around. Our eyes met and like every time I look into his eyes I felt a force pulling me toward him, making me forget everything else. I wondered if he knew what kind of effect his eyes had on me.
