"My father claims I'm delusional. That I believe in things that don't exist. He's partially right—I do believe in things most humans think are fantasy. But they're not fantasy. They're real." Murmurs rippled through the crowd. "Werewolves are real. Vampires are real. Many supernatural species exist alongside humanity, and they have for thousands of years. I know this because I am one. I'm a werewolf. An Alpha Queen, specifically." The room exploded. Reporters shouting, cameras flashing, chaos erupting.

“You are the first of your kind. You have Warren magic… and the Hallow’s magic. You are the One.” Her eyes widen. “Okay, hold on...back up. Did you just say werewolves?” Emily snorts. Grace chokes on a laugh. Liam mutters something like “here we go.” Even Noah cracks a smile. Raven throws her hands up. “I’m sorry, but if we’re doing magical genetics, I need to know if werewolves are actually real.” I can’t help it...I laugh. “Yes, sweetheart. They’re very real.” She stares at me. “Like… howl-at-the-moon real?”

I shook my head, still smiling and said, “That's ridiculous. They are made-up creatures by humans.” I could tell by the look of Sara and Kiara that they were kind of disappointed hearing my reply. But what else was I supposed to say? I couldn’t tell them werewolves were real and not break their bubble. How can werewolves exist in real life? Werewolves, vampires, zombies — these were only fictional. Period. ###

"I don't know much about werewolves, according to the book I read about werewolves, in European folklore, they're humans who turn into wolves at night and devour people, animals or corps but returns back to their human form by day." "Werewolves can kill you," I tried to talk her out of going. "Werewolves don't normally come out during the day time there mostly out during the night," she told me. Werewolves truly did mostly come out at night to hunt us. During the daytime, it seems they rested saving their energy for the night.

I think he is smoking his herbs. I rolled my eyes. Good thing he has a license for that

He says. I laugh a bit before answering. "I find it odd that you have to ask that but anyone past the age of 12 doesn't believe in those right?" I ask passing glances at every one else in the room. "Well, they're very much real. Werewolves have always existed, and so do vampires and witches. But our focus right now is werewolves.." I furrow my brows at him, not knowing what to say. I don't want to be rude and tell him he sounds crazy so I just stay silent, waiting for the thirty minutes to be over so I can out of here.

Everything I thought I knew about reality, about my best friend, about Knox, all of it is wrong. Werewolves are real. And somehow, I'm connected to one in a way I still don't understand.
