I didn’t look back. My mind was already on my next move.

I was stronger than that. When I arrived at the office, the moving process was already in full swing. Our team had been working tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly. I stepped out of my car and immediately started checking on the progress, making sure the movers were handling everything with care. The new building was just a short drive away, so after confirming that everything was on track, I hopped back into my car and headed over there.

The forest stretched ahead, dark and endless, but the path forward had never felt clearer. I took one breath, then another. Then I said, “Let’s go take back my pack.” And we moved.

I adjusted my bag slightly and continued inside, knowing that whatever came next, I would handle it the same way I had handled today. Directly, without avoiding it, and without losing control of how I moved forward.

It wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t complete, but for the first time in a while, I felt like I was moving forward. And that was enough for now.

I feel the weight of his stare, but I don’t flinch. The past is behind me, and as I move forward, the future is mine to claim. I don’t look back again.
