"Phoenix... you... don't... have... the... feed..." Leo’s voice shifted, the Kael-resonance vibrating through the mask’s speaker. The Ghost/Admin was seeing the biometric data I was trying to ignore. My own blood-oxygen levels were plummeting. My right side—the living side—was beginning to turn blue, the veins bulging against my skin. "I don't... need... air... to... kill... a... puppet," I hissed, my eyes turning to shards of lethal flint. I looked at the silhouette emerging from the dark red fog.

Everything is wrong. The warmth against my skin shifts, fingers tightening at the back of my neck, and then the voice—Ghost’s voice—cuts through the lingering fog like a jagged blade. It’s sharp and desperate, pulling at something inside me, urging me to react. I try. My body doesn’t respond. My muscles refuse to work, my limbs too heavy, weighed down by the toxin still crawling through my veins.

Aaahhh ” Before she could beg again he had already sank his fangs into her neck as he sucked from her and at the same time he was sucking her soul and Ashely started growing weak as he continued to suck from her.

“Shit!” Chiri croaked, her throat hoarse after having awoken to find herself amongst the familiar oppressive darkness that was the Abyss. The atmosphere thick with the malice of the shadows that had been cast there for eternity, she coughed from the extreme discomfort of breathing it in. Grasping her chest as she gradually adjusting her breathing to accommodate the thick soup that was considered air, Chiri fought hard to choke back a wrenching sensation in her throat.

I smiled bitterly as I looked at the inside of the door, which was distorted. While I was suffocating inside the cellar, I tried ramming into the door over and over again out of a strong will to live. However, the door was exceptionally sturdy. I could not even make the door open for just a small crack. In the end, I died of suffocation inside. My dear brothers, when you found my body, could you show me just a tiny bit of your love and bury me next to our mom and dad?

I struggle to breathe as I try to get away. I claw at Willow’s hands, trying to take it off my throat but she increased the pressure. It was getting difficult to keep my eyes open. My throat burns from the pressure, and I can feel my soul about to slip from my body. My lungs aren't able to take in any air, and my eyelids drop of their own accord, darkness surrounding me. I can't believe this is how I'm going to die. Just as I'm giving up hope, the pressure on my neck is suddenly removed. My eyes shoot open, and I cough heavily. I massage my throat and look for the person who saved me. Ashton standing a few feet away from me with Willow on the floor beside him. He must have pulled her off me.

As he approaches, he is surprised by a pool of blood and a lying soldier with half his body covered by darkness. "What happened here? Hey, Lao, are you okay? " The soldier approaches, lowering his guard. ("Now") The Ghoul reacts and quickly bites the soldier's neck violently. AAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHHH! The soldier screams with all his might, trying to remove the Ghoul, but he deepens his bite and digging his claws into his arms. AGHGHGGGGGG! The soldier drowns in his blood, large amounts of blood pour out of his mouth, while the Ghoul continues his work of ending his prey.

As it thuds against the overturned car, its contents swamp around us as the unknown gas finds its way into the shelter, away from the smouldering rain and into our lungs. Plummeting its thick fumes, I remain frozen, still as I take in panicked breaths unthinkingly. With my response delayed, my chest begins to burn before I burst into a raspy splutter - desperate for a breath of clean air. I look around in alarm, watching as Ash and Dakota react the same as they clasp their throats with bulging eyes when my chest begins to burn. Marie and Blair start to panic, fretting over us as they rush to assist us, uncertain of what to do while they remain unfazed by whatever deadly toxin seeps around us

Silas opened his mouth, his face contorting as he prepared to spew one last, vile curse, to use the tongue that had broken my mother’s spirit one final time. "You’ve used your life to sell children and destroy lives for long enough," I whispered, my voice chillingly calm. I signaled to the two Ghost Hounds. They entered the cell with the silent efficiency of executioners, pinning the old man to the stone floor. I knelt beside him, unscrewing the cap of a small crystal vial. The liquid inside glowed with a sickly, golden light—a neurotoxin that would freeze his vocal cords and paralyze his throat forever.

I said with boldness, my deep blue eyes holding contact with his thick green orbs. He breathed harshly, clenching his fists so tightly that I could see the veins lines on his arms prominently, and I gulped. Seeing that I was saying through to my word and not making a move to leave anytime soon, he rasped. “Asphyxiation.” My brows creased at his words. “What?” “The state of being deprived of oxygen which can result in suffocation or death,” he muttered, his eyes fixed on mine with a stern look almost as if I should be scared, but I was nothing close to being scared, rather I was confused.
