I cried as I caught the flash of a dagger in the moonlight. The unknown woman slashed the dagger toward Selene, but my mate was faster. Selene dodged the attack, grabbing the woman’s wrist in the process and snapping it. The sickening crack of bone echoing through the night. I watched as Selene slammed her knee into the woman’s chest, leaning to whisper something in her ear before shifting her fingers to claws and tearing the woman’s throat out. “Do you have a death wish or something?” She screeched, turning toward where I sat clutching my side. “You were warned that assassins were coming, and you throw yourself at the first one you see?”

I muttered caressing her neck and she made the mistake of baring it to me. My teeth elongated and I plunged them into her soft neck. I smelled her fear in the air but it was too late to stop me. My claws elongated, I used them to break her spine as I tore her throat open with my canines. Her blood oozed out soaking my tuxedo. The choking smell suddenly started fading while her lifeless body fell on the floor. I released a heavy breath. Goddess Luna, this felt better. Before I could go to the restroom, Aslan entered holding a plastic bag.

His eyes were deadly, and his grip was like iron. “You die tonight,” he hissed. I struggled, scratching at his hands, my mind racing for a means of escape. I twisted my body, trying to break the grip, but I was cornered. My lungs were screaming for air, and the darkness began to creep into the edges of my vision. The assassin raised his dagger, the silver blade gleaming in the dark. Is this the end?

A silver dagger glinted in one gloved hand. “Stay behind me,” Lucien ordered, voice low and deadly. The assassin did not speak. He launched himself forward with terrifying speed, dagger aimed straight for Caelan’s throat. Lucien met him halfway. The two alphas collided in a blur of motion. Lucien’s claws raked across the assassin’s chest, tearing through leather and flesh. The intruder twisted away, slashing with the silver blade. Lucien dodged, but the tip caught his shoulder, drawing a thin line of blood.

My heart raced, hand gripping the wall behind me. Red eyes stood behind him, a dagger glimmered in the moonlight. The light beam shone across the red eyes figure’s face. It’s lower part of his face covered by a black mask. The Assassin. “And I deserve to return to my prison, where Hades will send me to judgment,” Ir’ak let out a ragged breath. The dagger, once twinkling in the small light from the window, plunged into Ir’ak’s neck. His legs knees dropped into the carpet.

“If I did need the cash, I wouldn’t mind killing my boss and sparing you instead… You’re more of a woman than she’ll ever be.” The assassin grabbed Serena by the throat and slammed her against the tree hard. All the air in her lungs left at once… Serena clawed at the assassin’s arm, but her strength was fading too quickly. The dagger slowly rose toward her face. “You became inconvenient for her…how unfortunate.” Serena’s vision blurred. No. No no no— Not like this— The dagger drove downward— Then suddenly— CRACK. The assassin froze. Warm blood splattered across Serena’s face.

Kaelor roared. ​With impossible speed, Kaelor pivoted. His Lycan strength exploded as he threw his heavy fur cloak forward, catching the first assassin’s blade in the thick material. With a brutal twist of his wrist, Kaelor snapped the assassin's arm, the bone breaking with a loud crack, before driving his elongated claws straight through the man's chest armor. ​But the second assassin was already behind him, driving a dagger down toward Seraphina’s exposed shoulder. ​"Get away from her," a freezing voice growled.

But his dagger could not handle the force of the sword, so he had to back off. "I guess it was too much for a single dagger to handle." Creed felt his arms go numb after the clash between his dagger and her sword. "Alright! I guess that was enough for a warm-up." Creed threw his cracked dagger away, which evaporated into light particles. He summoned his brand new Soul-Armas 'Flame-Trident', which he received from killing the 'Guardian Cerberus'. He was itching to use it, and now was the time.

It sounded like an old man. Xasha drew his Storm Caller from his storage ring. The new storm caller's blade was no longer obsidian black. Now it was pearl white. The runes etched into the blade were different; they were much smaller and more perfect. He held it in his hand and was about to activate it. "Attack! Kill him and then kill that bitch inside the carriage too," The same old man shouted, he seemed to be the leader of these assassins.
