"Excuse us." Astrid woke up due to the piercing rays of the sun entering her eyes, with a banging headache. "What happened last night?" She asked herself as she found herself naked. She wrapped herself with a towel and decided to head to the bathroom but she felt pain her inner thighs. She looked at herself in the mirror and saw hickeys planted on her neck at various spots. All these pointed to one thing. She rushed to the door but it was locked. Astrid's scream echoed through the room, and Claudia rushed in, concern etched on her face. "Yes, ma'am?"

Hera stated in a loud voice. Astrid's pupils rolled. "Geez! Hera, you are like those husbands of us, always overacting. Of course my daughter has a boyfriend—" "—see!" Astrid shushed, Hera. "Alright! Calm down. My Winter has a boyfriend like a friend, an opposite gender friend not in a romantic way of boyfriend," Astrid paused for a moment to show her arms her hair rose up. "See this?" She asked, Hera. "I'm having goosebumps just thinking that my five-year-old daughter has a romantic boyfriend."

Author's POV “Remember you said there must be a reason why I approached you?” Astrid reminded Adams, looking down at him with a pleased smile. After all, she has got what she wanted already. She had her own plans all along. Kept it from Kaira as well. She didn’t just want to help Adams gain power; she wanted something much bigger as the process of helping Adams will bring her what she wanted. She wanted her daughter, Harper, to live a healthy life once again. Who had been cursed because of Astrid’s careless experiments with dark magic, and the sickness had clung to daughter for centuries.

Eventually, the night let the four enjoy their lives as normal people before their main mission. Then, after an hour, Zaykee saw Astrid sitting beside the pool, her legs are swaying on the pool's water while her palms sit against the floor. Zaykeee got curious about why her head is moving from left to right in a motion, so he sat beside her, allowing his legs to get wet too in the pool. His eyes widened the moment he gaze to his left because he saw Astrid, her side profile view. Her nose is pointed and all of her features are out-of-the-world. Moreover, he noticed that her cheeks are red, so he concluded that she was drunk. "Hey, Althea--"

ASTRID I stared, disbelief coursing through my veins. My heart pounded in my chest, the rapid thud echoing in my ears. “Anel? Is that really you?” My voice trembled with excitement and confusion. Anel, my childhood friend and confidante, stood before me with a broad smile plastered across her face. “Yes, it’s me, Astrid!” She rushed forward and enveloped me in a tight hug, her familiar scent instantly calming my racing heart.

Astrid begged, tears streaking down her face as the doctor nodded and took notes rather calmly. “Okay, Ms…?” The doctor looked at her with raised brows, asking for her name. “Astrid,” she was quick to answer and go back to Selene’s condition. “She was in her room right after lunch and I heard her scream out for me. There was just so much blood. I need to know that she’ll be fine. Her baby, too.” “And what exactly did she have for lunch?” “Chicken parmesan. I made it, and she told me she doesn’t have any allergies she knows about. I just—”

However, as we continued to walk away, I all of a sudden heard a voice I recognized so very well called behind me, "Alpha Hudson." I halted in my steps, I couldn't control myself as I turned to look at him; the person I spent my four years hating, and her, she was standing beside him, with a her stomach now bulging out, Astrid is pregnant.

My mind, however, was elsewhere. Astrid moved quietly around the table, pouring wine for the elders and respected pack members. Her long brown hair caught the torchlight with every step, falling like silk down her back. There was something about the way it moved that kept pulling my attention. The way a single strand would slip over her shoulder. The way it framed her small, delicate face. She looked so out of place here — fragile, beautiful, and completely unaware of how dangerous her presence had become to me. “Alpha Xavier,” Sari said suddenly.

He drops the coins in and we pass through pulling into the airport shortly after. Astrid wipes her hands down her body slowly as if by magic her appearance changes as her hands go down. Her black hair is now blonde, her bright blue eyes now hazel. Her skin went from a light tan to a pale white. I think she even grew a few inches. Her legs are now maybe 3 inches longer. Her outfit now changed to a leather jumpsuit that covers her legs and arms.

I inquired with a raised eyebrow. He took a sip, "That I'm losing my grip, my pack is an easy hunt, and I've gone mad and should be put out of power." "Wow. Those are some nasty rumors going on." I shook my head, "But what's with you going mad? That's a bit strange." "I believe Cordelia Blackwell, Black Witch, Council sore thorn, and my arch enemy, is my destined mate and Luna sent to me from the Moon Goddess herself after years of searching and looking." An amused smile adorned his face, "That's enough to call me crazy."
