, I realize and at the same time was confused and right now stomping he towards me. What in the world is going on, today?

Because deep down, in the darkest parts of my heart, I knew he was right. I was his. And there was nothing I could do about it.

He stood in front of me, held my face between his hands and stared down at me. I waited, once again, I did. For what? This time I didn't know. But the moment he spoke, I knew, the wait was over. "You waited." He said. I gasped. " You waited." He breathed.

Unable to resist the urge I circled my arms around him and stuck my face into his embrace but it was a little bit difficult because I could feel pain from the movement and I choose to ignore it. "I thought you were mad at me" he said after a moment and I was wondering if someone was in the room with us or he was actually talking to me. "mad at you?" I asked confused wondering if I missed out on a moment with myself. "Yeah" he replied after standing up, I frown slightly at his absence. My eyes glued to his every movement while he was picking clothes to wear. I don't even remember how I got here but I'm pretty sure he was the one that hurled my drunk ass here.

His lips flattened, and he narrowed his eyes. I knew then and there that I was dead meat. Worst part? I didn’t know what I did.

Each pause controlled. He didn’t acknowledge me as I stepped onto the path. But he knew I was there. And that was enough. For now.

he said. I held his gaze. "Why not." He was quiet again. Not avoiding it. Something more like a man choosing his words with the care of someone who had been asking himself the same question and had arrived at an answer he wasn't entirely sure what to do with. "Because I saw your face," he said. I waited. "In the alley," he said. "The moment you turned around and looked at me. Before you ran. You looked at me and I looked at you and something…" He stopped. Started again. "I don't have a better word for it than knew. I just knew."

Just a space that had held me in place while the world outside kept moving without me. I didn't know yet what I would choose. But I understood, with a clarity that frightened me, that this moment was the last one before everything changed.

“You said he was far away.” My throat ached. “He was. But not anymore.” And in that fragile, breathless pause, I knew. It was time.

And that was when I knew I had won. He didn’t expect this. He hadn’t seen it coming. But now? Its too late Cause the blade was already at his throat.
