I can see the curtain, the shadow of someone moving inside. The message reads: I am not there anymore. I am closer. I am inside. I have been inside. I am in your walls. I am in your vents. I am in your head. I have been here all along. You just did not see me. I stand. I walk to the window. The glass is cold against my forehead. The fire escape is empty. The metal is wet. The stairs lead down into the dark. The window is locked. The latch is secure. I check it twice.

Corinne POV I was sitting by my wide window, watching the moon reflect against the glass as the white curtains swayed softly in the night breeze. Everything around me looked calm, but inside, I hadn’t known peace for a long time. I placed my hand over my chest, listening to my racing heartbeat, and every single beat carried only one name. Glacier. I couldn’t understand what I was feeling anymore. Was it real love, or just a painful attachment?

Aurelia's Point Of View I glanced outside the window, my eyes tracing the familiar road as Alpha Dante expertly navigated the car through the winding streets. The morning sunlight bathed everything in a warm glow, casting delicate shadows on the passing buildings. I yell out over the wind. I hear the glass shatter in the window and glass begins to twist around me in the wind. With my arms still tied to the chair, I am unable to shield my face from the dangerous wind that is flying around me. The glass cuts into my skin, leaving shallow cuts all over my body.

I wait for the pain, for the strange end, but that’s when something soars right through the broken window, demolishing the entire section of the wall. It’s a big white wolf.

"I told you there would be a reasonable explanation for all this." "At no expense should you pass the night at another woman's place, it raises suspensions and confusions obviously!" She spluttered. Her cold glare lifted to my window and we unfortunately locked gazes before my sixth sense warned to instantly back away from the window. "I understand." Travis said, his voice being the last I heard. The after effect of the wound hit me and I woozily retreated to my bed for yet another siesta of sleep. ★★★ The smell of fresh coffee beans attracted my nose as I woke up, the sky was jet black, designed with twinkling stars as I stared outside the now open window.

I pulled myself up and sat down leaning against the headboard of my bed. I sighed as my eyes drifted to the open window of my room. The white curtains were dancing with the gentle breeze as the soft rays of the sun filtered through them. I closed my eyes as my heart clenched. Three nights had gone by since that morning in the garden, and I haven’t gotten a single glance of him. He vanished like a ghost, yet I was here desperately searching and waiting. He truly knows how to play with me.

Perhaps there is something I can do. Stepping out of the mirror’s way, I gaze out the window, wrap my arms around my shoulders, and take a couple of deep breaths. The sun beats down on me from my open window. I can hear birds singing from the tree branches and the sound of retreating vehicles rushing up and down the street.
