I said emphasizing every word. "If you say so. Now back to the topic. I really really really like Diana and I think she is the one. She isn't like other girls. She is sarcastic, smart and beautiful. Especially those glasses of her. God she looks like such a cute nerd." He trailed off. "Well, she is a nerd." I stated as he glared at me. "Wow the bad boy and the nerd. You guys will be such a cliché couple." I laughed at him.

He’s so full of himself. Reality check! I never thought I'd be attracted to a nerd. I mean, sure, I appreciate intelligence and academic success, but I always assumed that the nerds were too socially awkward or too focused on their studies to be interesting. But then I met him. He's a quiet, unassuming guy who sits in the front row of our classes and always has the answer to every question. At first, I barely noticed him, but as the weeks went by, I found myself drawn to him more and more.

I tried to ignore the prying eyes of my schoolmates as I stuffed all the books and files into my bag and closed my locker. Still, people wouldn’t quit staring and me, acting as a nerd, has no power in changing that because I’m expected to be weak, voiceless and a pushover. Not saying that’s what nerds are, honestly, nerds are awesome but these bitches are just too bitchy to even consider it. I have always tried my best to not draw attention towards me or anything which obviously hasn’t been working. It’s like I’m a retarded, walking, sparkling, rainbow colored dolphin. Okay, maybe not that much but you get the idea.

His eyes are on the book before him as he flips between the pages, and I lean against the shelf to watch him. He looks so attractive when he’s serious and studying. "Smart pants." I mutter under my breath, only for my mood to get ruined when a petite brunette comes into the view. "Who’s that?" I push away from the shelf as she takes the seat next to him and drops her books on the table. She smiles and shyly tucks her hair behind her ears as she motions to her book and I let out a scoff. We both know that’s not why you’re there. Of course, there’d be girls who’ll approach him even when he’s busy studying. I guess that’s what it means to be a nerd with that kind of face. A hot nerd. Attractive

This time, his voice was gentle. Danica glanced at the pictures. The corners of her lips curling into a smile, "a cute guy but the glasses make him look like a nerd," she shrugged. "Well, I like nerds because they are intelligent. They aren't shallow like most guys who look so good on the outside with great social skills but lack intellectual abilities, most certainly having mashed potatoes as brains."

He kept looking at Fertine. He didn’t know why he was happy to see the nerd. Maybe it was because of him that Ava couldn’t go through with her plan. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know there was someone.” She stammered between the lines. “You can’t see me with the size and thickness of your glasses? Or are you just blinding yourself to disturb us?” Ava glances at Wilder. “You’re probably one of those fangirls of his, huh?” “It’s not just your thick glasses but your face.”

“Okay. Good. He just transferred from California which has a totally different curriculum pace, but he seems smart from his file. I’m sure you’ll have no problem—” A knock on the door cut her off. She glanced toward it with a small smile. “Oh, that’s probably him now. Come in!” The door swung open and I suddenly wished the ground could open up and swallow me. It was the guy from last night—the ridiculously handsome boy who’d seen me ugly-cry in the hallway. He was even more unfairly attractive in daylight. His dark hair was still perfectly messy, those warm brown eyes made the small office feel ten degrees warmer. I wanted to faint. Or disappear. Or both.
