Audio Books At Library Novels & Stories

I said, grinning from teeth to teeth like a child. We walked into the library. It looked like it had been a while, since it was in use. We went through several sections which included, finance, self-improvement, ethics, business amongst all. I caught a glimpse of a book I had been wanting to read, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. I picked it immediately, and started going through it. After a while, I noticed I wasn't hearing any sound from the cook. I looked around and found her wiping tears off her eyes with the hem of her apron.

“You can check out five books at a time. They’re due back in two weeks. If we’re closed, there’s a drop box right by the front door.” Ryleigh accepted the card, running her thumb over the smooth edge. “Thank you.” “Looking for anything in particular?” Miss Ada asked, her voice light. “Yes,” Ryleigh said after a beat. “Where would I find the pack records?” Miss Ada gestured to the far side of the library. “Toward the back, just past the poetry shelves. Room with the glass windows. Hard to miss, dear.” Ryleigh gave her a warm smile. “Thanks again.”

Books are removed and added, so it's kept up to date. What makes it special is the little section of books from best-sellers across the world. For the literature students, of course, I like to take advantage of that perk too. There are no library passes, but you'll have to check in with the librarian to get a book out. I go to the library where I see Abner Brooks. “Ahh, young Morgan, I’m not surprised to see you here.” He gives me a genuine smile. “I came to look for books on word alchemy, I’m not sure what or if they have any here.” “They do,” He bobs his head in thought, “Not a whole ton but Bear Clans are very spiritual and keep many records of Witch Alchemy.” He leads me to a section in the back and shows me a bookshelf of old and dusty books that look like they haven’t been touched in centuries. If at all. “Knock yourself out, let me know if I can be of any help.”

The only thing that could be heard in the library was silence, as well as the quiet sound of pages being turned. Azalia and Amos were the only ones here. The immense library of the Adom Kingdom, which was filled with endless shelves full of books, was close to empty at this time of the day. Azalia had wanted to go there in order to change her mind, thus forcing Amos to accompany her. Books takes us to places we’ve never been, feel free to read anyone of your choice.” I couldn't help but be awestruck by the sheer magnitude of knowledge that surrounded her. I ran my fingers along the spines of the book gently, marveling at the countless stories waiting to be discovered. Tau led me out of the library while leading me to a music room filled with an array of instruments. Grand pianos, violins, and harps stood as elegant witnesses to the melodies that had dignified the room. Soft sunlight filtered through stained glass windows, casting a colorful dance on the polished wood floor.

The smell of old book, dust and fresh ink wafted through the air of the library, the golden hue of the almost setting sun gave the library a mystical look as Ur streamed in fromge windows. The library was quiet safe for the shuffling of books here and there, a few reading groups and soft chatters. Mr Fernandez led me further in and stopped in front of some shelf cluster. “So…what do you read?” He asked, tucking his hands in his pocket. “Normally, I'd go for business or history but I'm feeling a bit in line for anything” he nodded and looked around. “Why don't you find something you like and I'll do the same…then we'll talk about why we like those books, is that okay?” He asked nervously and

Still, if they hadn’t managed to get any information out of him this long, then I highly doubted he was ever going to talk. Rather than focus on the pale-haired God haunting my lady parts, I began to scour the library in search of information. “Give me everything you’ve got on the Gods.” Books slid off their shelves, their pages flapping wildly as they took to the air. A tornado of them surrounded me, rustling my hair around my shoulders. One at a time, they fluttered down onto the tables, landing in a neat stack. CRACK!

I spent three more minutes getting back in. Sleep didn’t happen. The house was too quiet. Too big. Too full of space where sound should’ve been. At 2 AM I gave up and explored instead. The library was exactly as enormous as I expected. Books floor to ceiling with one of those rolling ladders, and here’s the thing, the spines were creased. These books had been read. Some of them were shoved in sideways because whoever organized them ran out of space and just kept going. He reads, I thought. Of course he does. Because he couldn’t just be terrifying. He had to be terrifying and well-read.
