RAVENNA POV Suddenly, a sharp tingling sensation shot through the scar, spreading warmth through my veins. It felt like something awakening inside me, a pulse of energy that flickered with life. I gasped, eyes wide, as I sensed a presence curling within me. Mia, sensing my discomfort came back to my side, whining as she rubbed my leg. "I'm fine," I said, even though I felt anything but. "I'm fine." But just as quickly as it arrived, it vanished, leaving me breathless and disoriented. I staggered back, pressing my palm against my chest as if to contain whatever had surged through me.

Amy I woke up with a light head. I willed myself not to think anything about Jace so that I can focus on my work. I realized that I had lagged behind on the book I was editing. I poured myself some coffee and sat in front of my laptop. I am surprised when I finish the book before one. I haven't eaten anything sensible since morning. I last ate a decent meal at Jace's house. I didn’t know it meant anything.” Elarien floated a bit closer, but stayed at a cautious distance. “Well regardless, you did awaken me, the book is a catalyst to my soul.” she turned around as if taking in the room.
