Elias urged me to pack up and take away Aria's and my belongings that day so that he could clear up the rooms for Larissa and her son to move in. Since I had no objections, I immediately followed him back to the house to pack things. After all, I wasn't planning on living in that house again, even if I managed to secure the ownership. When we opened the front door, there was no one in the living room. Then, we heard the sounds of someone moaning coming from Gabriel and Rhonda's room. A soft female voice said flirtatiously, "The plan for Tommy's organ transplant fell through. You need to come up with another plan…"

We drifted around the corner and onto the main street. "Mommy, the wolves are chasing us," Maddie said softly, and I patted her knee atop mine. She turned from the back window to look at me, her eyes wide. "Don't look back, Maddie. Just keep facing the front. You have to help me find a place that sells chicken nuggets, remember?" I knew her excitement for them was gone, but I was hoping she would stay distracted long enough for us to get away from the hunting party behind us.

Their son, Nathan, was also coming back today, and this made a double celebration in our pack tonight. Jacob’s POV, “I don’t know what’s going on, but Sadie and her parents are on there way back now.” Doctor Kim sat me down and told me. We had to be there when they released her to me at the police station where they would be arrested for leaving with her. Sadie had a lot of talents but mind control was not one of them. I was confused but happy at the same time. I couldn’t wait to get my girl back. “Just understand this. Even though Sadie’s parents bring her back. We still have to prove that Sadie is not crazy and can cope in this world without help.” I understood what the doctor was saying, but as long as I had Sadie I knew this was all going to work out.

Shaba hung up the phone. Mack, Matilda, Josie and Adelaide all looked at each other. “How did she get to them so quickly?” Matilda asked. “I thought she was still on the west coast.” Mack says. “Well, she is and I am not running, nor am I handing the two of you over.” Adelaide says. “I hope you got a plan then, because she will do as she says.” Mack tells her.

Madelaine asked, leaning into me. “If she needs to protect me, she would definitely bite.” “Wow. So her and Daphne are like best friends?” How does that even correlate? “I don’t know, baby,” I said, and she sank deeper into my hold. I placed her over Daphne, untied her, and then got behind Maddy. I made sure Winter was right behind us and then we took off, back home. “Hold the reins, tight,” I leaned in and whispered to Madelaine.

After changing myself into something comfortable .Megan and I come out and find Maddox waiting for me outside his car . His new scent sends my wolf into a frenzy . Maddie's head pushes through the door while the rest of her body stands outside the door. “I'm leaving, need anything before I go?” Shaking my head, I gesticulate for her to come in and she does. Shutting the door behind her. I get up from my desk to sit on one of the couches in my office. “How's Mike?” Maddie gives me a weird look before taking her seat, “healing fine, keeps going in and out of consciousness.”
