They were good at it. My heart would have beat louder if I was an amateur dragon. But I was blessed with a mature dragon. When they brought the box and opened it, the Mighty Heart shined like a star and it started beating again. It recognized me. And it knew that I was close to it, closer than ever. The whole crowd was amazed when they saw what the mighty heart did. But no one except for me and my four allies, knew that it was me who made the Mighty Heart start beating again. I was happy in my heart that at least, my people, who were suffering. That heartbeat would lessen their suffering.

I press the letter to my chest and I feel the heart thump against the paper like a reply. "I don't know your name as I write this. I don't know your face. But I know you needed a heart and I have one to give, and honestly that's a better love story than most people get. My heart is stubborn, that’s a fair warning. It beats faster when it's angry and slower when it's near lavender and it has a terrible habit of falling in love with people who don't know what to do with love. That might be my fault. Or it might just be the heart. Either way, it's yours now. So make sure you appreciate it and treat it better than I did."

They no longer felt human emotions. I couldn't tell if Magnus' treatment of me came from fear of the drug inside him, or from some genuine desire to care for me. But even the thought of that makes my chest ache, I wonder if eighteen is too young for a heart attack. Maybe my body has been through so much physically and add in the stress of losing Dara, I could be having a heart attack or something.

ACE I was furious, my heart was beating so fast it was a miracle that it couldn't be heard from the gate. No one speaks to Aella that way, no one is allowed to talk about her. They don't know what it took me to bring her here, they don't know how much I hated sharing her with humans.

"Reporting your dirty deeds would be a good thing for the country, don't you think?" Those pictures were something that could destroy him once she exposed them to the outside world, make his stock price plummet to nothing. This should get him anxious but to her surprise, Biden seemed calm as always.

I could see it was something big. -I said, "Open it without fear. It's something nice and I think you'll love it," my now boyfriend told me. I opened it very carefully, so as not to break the wrapping. They were books, you could see them clearly. When I took them out of the wrapping paper, I saw that they were law books. I wanted to be a lawyer and the most expensive books were right there in front of my eyes. Now that was the best gift in the world. I was going to read them from head to toe. With so much joy inside I ran to hug him.

Third Person's POV His chest hurt unlike anything he had ever felt before. It feels like someone was ripping his heart from his chest. It was hard to keep the tears from falling as he stared down at his sleeping mate. His heart stutters, and he draws a shaky breath in before setting the letter on the nightstand beside him. His lips tremble against his Beta's forehead, and tears fall. “I'm sorry!” He whispered a shaky breath against his skin before stepping onto the balcony and leaping over the edge, disappearing into the night.

Tears fall over my bathing breath, as my heart pounds furiously within my rib cage. It's reliving it, it's reliving the storm. My face sticks to my palm, while my head tries to break apart. I feel my body shake, a violent tremble seizing my being. I can scarcely breathe when it starts. Holding onto my heart, becomes my trial to hold on, but that barely holds me still. I soon slump to the ground, feeling my body grow weak from the pressure on my heart, I collapse, losing my consciousness. That damn trauma. ***
