Baldacci Archer Series Novels & Stories

Archer mocked, raising an eyebrow playfully as I grabbed a rolled-up magazine and began swatting at him. "You son of a bitch," I cursed, the magazine landing with a soft thud against his arm, eliciting laughter from him. "We can talk now in your study. The kids seem too engrossed in their movie to even notice me." "Ah, the study. At least I won't be cornered there," Archer replied with a sigh of relief, prompting me to leap from my seat and chase after him, wielding the magazine like a weapon. "Archer Lancaster, you are dead!" I exclaimed, a grin spreading across my face as I pursued him into the study.

"You don't have the upper body strength to pull a royal war bow. You want to die for a coward?" "Yes," Bimby stated simply. "I did it." "No!" Bettoni screamed, terrified. She threw herself in front of her husband and grabbed his arm with both of her small trembling hands. "Don't touch him, Zachery," Bettoni begged as tears spilled fast down her pale cheeks. "He's my brother. He's lying to protect Ardon. Look at his hands, Commander. He doesn't have archer calluses on his fingers. He holds chalk all day. He didn't shoot that arrow."

Like shadows swimming underneath flesh. My blood turned to ice. Whatever was standing there wasn't a man. It wasn't even pretending anymore. Commander Vane raised his sword. "Archers." A hundred bowstrings tightened. The sound echoed across the wall. Halden merely smiled. "Will that make you feel safer?" "Fire." The arrows launched together. A dark cloud crossing the gray sky. They struck Halden squarely. Chest. Shoulders. Neck. One pierced directly through his eye.

“Who are you?” “Calm down,” Aldrich soothed, stepping closer to me. He grabbed the back of my arm, but I spit onto the man’s face, glaring in fury. I didn’t even hate him more than I despised the unfamiliarity of him. “No!” I said, shaking my head, “I will not calm down. We finally found the archer that has been terrorizing us for months, but we don’t even recognize him!” “He could be one of many, Cathy,” he comforted me, pulling me into him. I sighed, trying to relax as he pressed his lips to my temple.

A new tactic he’s learned in my absence no doubt. I snatch up the gun and the holster and step away haughtily. ‘Pretty sure Mico can help. He is a proficient gun man, I hear. Thanks.’ I am not hanging around doing this and I turn to leave with my head on distance and space and getting Alexi’s feel off of my skin. I would rather take lessons with someone whose touch doesn’t remind me how much I miss having sex … with him. Urghhh!

Valen picked her sipper running all the way from there until she reached the ground where the others were present already. Thank God their Professor Duke, forty five years old handsome wolf who is also a warrior in Alpha's army have not yet come. She let out a sigh of relief bending down swiftly. "Ohh look who is here, the bitch who likes to watch porn!" Valen was just going to drink some water but good she didn't or else she would have spilled it out at the announcement Hazel made.

Zara even used my parents' mating as a stepping stone to get what she wanted. Over the years, the Cummings family got rich and lost their minds, trading their history of begging for a new brand of toxic arrogance. They'd forgotten where they came from. Archer was the Alpha of the Razor Pack; there's no way he didn't know this history. He had a predator's instinct for this kind of thing. He had to know that moving them right across from my family was a blatant act of war. A look of realization flickered across Archer's face. His dark eyes glinted with something sharp—the look of a hunter who'd just spotted his target.

Archer I stood on the balcony watching the pack house and its occupants as they moved about their daily business. It was a bit cold today and everywhere was wet, I woke up early perhaps a little bit too early and I couldn't go back to sleep. I had a lot going on in my mind and I was becoming a little more restless as the day goes! I thought about the conversation my Uncle Mateo and Ryker had yesterday and I couldn't help but think something big was going to happen soon, I was tired of this game and I wanted to confront him at once but I couldn't!!

"She wants to play a game in our house, brother. I say we let her. And I say we make it one she has never played before." The silence that followed was a different kind than the one before it. Archer had gone completely still, not the stillness of restraint but the stillness of a predator that has just been handed exactly what it wanted and is taking one measured breath before it moves. His black eyes were bright. The mischievous smile that was his most dangerous expression was spreading across his face with the slow confidence of something inevitable. "I love the sound of that," he said. He turned to Alaric. The smile didn't waver. "Do you like the arrangement, Alaric?"

It wasn’t Xander but the other one, Archer. She had guessed right about the arrow. Archer had a silver bow in his hand. It was magnificent. There was a carving on it and at both tips a jewel. She saw his muscles flex as he raised the bow, leading her to believe it was heavy. Her eyes were stuck on the muscles between his shoulder blades as his arm pulled back and released, sending a white arrow into a ball that had been catapulted into the air. ***
