I loved going up the staircase, so that was where my books were kept. I didn’t expect it to still be there—I was just curious what was—but I was shocked to find it fully stocked. The young adult novels still sat, but the collection had expanded to two shelves. Classics from Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austen, the entire Harry Potter series, and many others lined up together. She could understand how to read them but understanding the meaning of some of the spells was another thing, the book had a lot of chapters and as she looked at the next chapter it became harder to understand. It was like upgrading from novice to master, so she had to finish understanding and studying the first chapters to go forward. And it get harder the more you learn.
