“Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Michael asked, Alissa ventured further into the shop, she saw the sign for 'History'. Alissa turned into the area and scanned the spines. There appeared to have been two human world wars as that topic featured heavily. She picked one of the larger books up, scanning the back. Michael saw what she was looking at. “If you're looking for fighting techniques that won't help, they used their guns and planes.” Alissa mouthed the words back. “Don't ask,” he responded. “I'm looking to know more about...” Alissa waved in the general vicinity. “Okay, so my favorite author is Tom Clancy. His early stuff is really good, but he got increasingly self-indulgent with his later novels.” “One of his earlier novels, then,” I said. Andre looked legitimately excited now. “There are three options, all of which are great. His best written novels are probably Hunt for Red October or Clear and Present Danger.” “I didn’t ask for the best written,” I clarified. “I asked for your favorite book.” He grinned widely. “I’m glad you made that distinction, because my favorite book of his is Red Storm Rising. It’s the second book he published.” “It’s not a depressing book about nuclear war, is it?”

All is fair in war, and in war, one side must lose for the victor to emerge. They’ve already caused us so much, it’s only right we repay the favour twice as blunt,” another man spoke, and the rest of the people grunted in approval.

I browsed the shelves, and I read the titles. Into the fire, A firsthand Account of the extraordinary Battle in Afghan War by Dakota Meyer, Bing West 500 Days, Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars- Kurt Eichenwald The War for crown and Empire There are all sorts of books about wars here. I paused in front of a book that I deemed the most interesting. I pulled it out of the shelf and stared at it, contemplating whether to get on with it or not. I can choose a much thinner book… The 33 Strategies of War- Robert Greene
