The Alpha’s Moonbreather
The pillar exploded outward as Becky tore free, black energy wrapping around her limbs like armor.
“You feel it, don’t you?” Becky growled. “You’re getting tired.”
Elise’s knees shook. Her pendant flickered weakly against her chest, its glow dimming with every strike she blocked.
“You cannot win,” Becky continued, voice dripping with satisfaction. “Your precious Moonstone chose me.”
“No,” Elise said, voice trembling but firm. “It chose balance. And you broke it.”
Becky charged.
This time Elise was too slow.
Becky slammed into her full force, driving her back into the wall. Stone shattered. Elise gasped as the air was knocked from her lungs, pain ripping through her ribs.
