I thought to myself. But then... She began taking me through the Bible.... She made those inspiring verses known to me and explained them all to me in detail. Some of those verses are; Jeremiah 1:5 Which says, “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. " Psalms 139:16 Which says, " You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. "

His voice clipped, and I hoped to God that he was right…that my hallucinations had carried on into reality, but here I was. So I braced, and asked the only question nogging in my brain, “Did he have a uh…tattoo?” His shoulders went rigid. “Where?” His voice strained, and my heart shrank. “Some language…on his neck. Was there any tattoo at all? It was a quote…something latin…I do not know—” “Abyssus abyssum invocat,” he said slowly, face growing pale when my head bobbed. Ledger's face went pale, and a tremble started in his hands, so much that he clenched them into fists, and I felt my own teeth chatter.

Lighting flashed— and that’s when I saw them. Tattoos. Black ink snaking up his arms. Crosses, wings, words I couldn’t read fast enough. Bible verses, twisted and fierce. He looked like sin under heaven’s rain. “Battery’s dead,” he called over the thunder. “You leave your lights on?” “Maybe.” I muttered. My cheeks were burning. He grinned. “Happens to the best of us.” And then, just because I clearly make decision that are very terrible for my life. I opened the door and I came out.
