Coupled with his gambling habit and his laundering charges, he'd likely end up spending the rest of his life behind bars. "And one more thing...." Gabriel pointed at a medical report on the desk.

“I still think he somehow got people to destroy the incriminating files that could prove he’s guilty of patent plagiarism, but I’ve also noticed him hovering and vising around to departments that he has no business being in.” Billy hums, rubbing at his chin and glancing at the ceiling as he thinks. We haven’t really had a chance to talk about his investigations into Andy, so I ask, “Have you found anything incriminating from the time I was in prison? Did he play it safe or was he working on this plot for a long time?”

He just chuckled before a man entered his room, it was William. “Why did you want to meet me?” William said he heard a fairly loud voice from the phone that Billy was holding. “Do you want to see it?” Billy said and he immediately showed it to William, a recording where his wife was having fun making out with her twin. “Wait… is that Gwen? And… is that Willy? Your twin? since when was he here?” William said. “That’s not important, this damn bitch is shameless, she’s just a parasite who likes rich men,” Billy said and let the recording play as he put his phone on the table.

This was the Ghost’s Ledger—the physical record of every transaction, every bribe, and every betrayal in the history of the Voss family. She carried the book to the light of the window, her heart hammering against her ribs. As she flipped through the pages, the sheer scale of the corruption took her breath away. But because I was inaudible all the way, Billy didn’t even have a chance to tell me that we were dropping by his house before we leave for Durban. And believe me, I didn’t like that at all.

As the wedding approached, Billy suddenly clutched his stomach and rushed to the bathroom, clearly affected by the laxative Leah had prepared for him. Standing at the bathroom door, Leah pretended to be angry as she scolded him. "Billy Anstey, you're always so unpredictable. Today is Liliane's big day, and you're behaving like this!?" At the airport, he dared to describe her as such a disgusting thing in front of so many people! Since Billy had made her so embarrassed, how could she let him be comfortable? "Hahaha, I seem to have forgotten to tell you something! Do you still remember your initial infidelity? It's neither an accident nor a mistake. I designed it myself, got it?" Billy's hand, which was hanging beside him, tightened. He clenched his fist, and his bones creaked. He growled, "What did you say?"

’ Just then there was a knock at the door, Billy stood up and hid the book once again, he had only left the map on the old fashioned table where the latter stood illuminating the dusty room. Certainly, no one has ever gone in and out of Billy’s room, the door was well shaped to fit his entry and exist with a small squared window which he never opened. He sniffed thrice before heading to the door to see who it was. He doesn't expect visitors either does he welcome anybody in his house into his abode this time he wondered who it was, nevertheless, he didn't bother inquiring supposedly it could be one of the folks in the congregation he had spoken to.

Billy opened the bedroom door. He saw the wardrobe standing open, but it was almost empty. Only bare hangers and a few faint clothing creases remained. The vanity table was clean, without the cheap cosmetics Thabita usually used. “This is impossible,” Billy said in a low voice. He turned around, his steps quick as he headed toward the kitchen. On the small table, he saw a neatly folded piece of paper. Billy picked it up. His hand stopped moving. The writing was clear. Thabita’s handwriting.
