“You just saved my miserable ass. I think I’ve earned the right to be a little weird.” Grey rolled her eyes, already walking away, boots crunching against the gravel road that led toward Blackwood Academy. The moon hung low, heavy and bruised, like it was watching them with judgment. Scarlet followed behind, arms wrapped around herself, heart still pounding from the chaos that had refused to settle inside her chest. The ride to Blackwood was tense. Grey sat shotgun, one knee up, blade tucked into her boot like a promise. Scarlet sat in the back, staring out the window, watching trees blur past like memories she didn’t want to face.

“I’d like to announce that our greatest competitor in the business has been arrested.” His hazel eyes shift to mine, “Azure Blackwood is being charged with thirteen counts of murder after a failed mission overseas revealed that his product was misrepresented and unsafe for military use.”

"No!" Chase shouted, his face turning ghostly pale. He did not stop as he turned to run. "Trying to escape? No way!" the man in black said coldly. He transformed into a cloud of black mist to block Chase's way. Chase became anxious. He suffered a palm attack from the man in black and went flying from the hit. Spitting out blood, Chase reached out to touch the dripping liquid from his lips and wiped it off before standing up. The man in black smiled cruelly. He moved speedily like a phantom ghost as he headed toward Chase. It was almost impossible to see him move.

I really want to help them to take Alexia but I can't. I can't do anything but to get in my car and follow them again. I start the engine then suddenly I saw a black like smoke that appeared near Messy. What is happening? I can't really believe this! My mind totally blew when I saw that black smoke becomes a person. It's a woman, I didn't see her face. But I think I knew her. Is she the Dark Vader? Is Dark Vader a sort of Black magic or what? I don't know! I have nothing to do! Literally, I can't do anything! So I just drive the car to follow the Triple A's car.

Right now, with what happened in this world, nothing is safe anymore. The once dark clouds had unleashed their payload, and a torrent of black rain fell from the sky, painting the world outside in an eerie, inky darkness. The pitter-patter of the rain against the windows echoed in the room, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Liam's gaze lingered on the unnatural downpour, and a knot of fear tightened in his chest. He could feel the unease settling over the group like a heavy shroud. The darkness of the rain seemed to seep into the room, casting long shadows on the walls.

I jump down from the van, “What are you talking about?” ‘Look again, tell me what you see.’ I turn to face the cliff, looking up at the castle and the thick black clouds that hover above it. “Looks like a storm is about to hit.” ‘Those black clouds are not what you think. They are a sign of dark magic.’ “I’ve dealt with another Witch. I’ve met an older lady who was also a Witch. I didn’t see any of that.”

With a powerful thrust she launched herself into the abyss streaking toward the Blackwood valley like a falling star. As she flew through the clouds, the scale of the disaster became clear. The entire valley was blanketed in a silver mist that glowed with a predatory light. She could see the fires of the Blackwood villages but they were not the orange of hearth-fires, they were the cold blue flames of lunar combustion. She landed in the center of the Blackwood square, the spot where her contract had supposedly ended.. The square was a scene of death and destruction. The Silents were everywhere herding the terrified pack members toward the iron gates.

Dad grabbed the nurse, throwing her out of the room alongside himself. "Well-done, Emily, you have accomplished your mission." A sinister scent emerged, a wicked laugh echoing across the room. The once blue sky was now a mixture of black and white with the moon reflecting its radiant image. Wails filled the air as a ray of light fell from the sky, hitting a mountain on the other side of town. I groaned, wincing as my hand was scorched by the flaming book. The pages settled, words in red appearing on the pages. "Strigoi, Nosferatu, Jiangshi…"

A big jaw aching smile spreads on my face as I buckle up, adjusting my mirrors, turning the AC on and drive. In the words of the man from the film Braveheart, I scream “FREEEEDDDOOOM!” Chaos whimpers in my mind as I drive along the road when a giant black wolf with red eyes steps out of the forest in front of the car and I slam on the brakes with a scream. The witch steps out, as does a grey wolf. Oh fuck!

"The sword is hidden in the black clouds, the place you will reach before the in-between. No one has seen the sword, but I believe you and the crown prince can find it out because I trust you will do it." Trust! I wanted to shout at him for trusting someone like me. I could fail the mission because I had failed to protect everyone around me, and yet, he had faith in me that I could save everyone else. "Remember this Rain: if you are greedy and have desires, your soul will be devoured in the black clouds, and you can only spend three days there. If you don't find what you have come to black clouds for, you will disappear as if you never existed."
