Moonbound Deception
Before consciousness completely slipped away, I saw the silhouette of someone stepping into the temple—tall, slender, wearing a black cloak and a silver mask that hid their face.

I awoke with a pounding head and a stabbing nausea. The air around me was cold and damp, tinged with the scent of metal and wet wood. I tried to sit up, but my hands and feet were bound to a rough wooden chair. The room around me was dim, lit by a gently swaying oil lamp in the corner. The walls were made of old wooden planks, covered with maps, weapons, and strange symbols I’d seen before in the hunters’ headquarters.
