“Because rage clouds judgment.” My breathing turned uneven. The Oracle lifted one pale hand slowly. Silver energy flickered across her fingertips. “Listen carefully, Alpha Blackthorne. I heard him grab Lila's wrist, heard pine needles crunch under boots, then forest swallowed them. I didn't look back.Inside, I spread the contract parchment flat. Two hours to midnight. Arianna POV: My back aches and I rest on the shelf to find some relief. There's a pile of books and scrolls before me. I let out a sigh as I stared into nowhere, my wolf howls loudly. I have been in the library for hours going through anything on the prophecy that I could find. Everything I have seen about the prophecy are things I heard growing up. A female werewolf will be born of pure Alpha blood, my mum was an omega. I have been trying to recite it till I believe it.
