She sat in the chair she’d previously vacated but kept her bottom on the edge, ready to leap up. Stella pulled out a drawer in her desk and brought out a book titled Angel’s Handbook. It wasn’t very thick and would easily fit in the palm of Helen’s hand. “Now, this book contains information for every job an angel might be assigned. You’re going to want to carefully read Chapter Six, ‘Fixing Things Up.’ It will explain everything to you.” Stella handed the book over, knocking over the paperweight in the process. She righted it as Helen opened the volume.

Chapter 1: The Phoenix Rises Emilia's eyes snapped open, her gaze piercing through the darkness. The memories came flooding back, like a tidal wave crashing against the shores of her mind. The fire, the screams, the feeling of helplessness as her world burned to ashes. She rose from the bed, her movements fluid and calculated. The past was etched on her face, a map of scars and determination. Emilia's gaze fell upon the mirror, and for a moment, she saw the girl she once was – innocent, naive, and full of hope.

## Chapter 18 ### Vaelora Vaelora's POV I didn’t look back at Zane. I didn’t care if he followed me or if he vanished back into the shadows like the ghost he was. Blinded by anger, I bolted out the hanging, splintered front door and lunged down the wooden staircase, my boots slamming against the steps in a frantic, desperate rhythm. There was one person left in this building. One person who claimed to see things nobody else could.

I begin to exclaim when Eros's words suddenly replay in my mind. Far from, darling. Just wait and see. "Fuck my life... that son of a bitch was right. It was real." I state, feeling as though a bucket of cold water has been thrown over me. "I'm guessing your referring to meeting with the Gods who marked you?" he asks, and I nod my head. "Yes, it's very real. Greek gods and angels are both real. Us angels, are descendants from the Greek Gods themselves. Here to aid them when they please." he begins to explain.

He let out a sigh and replied, ‘Call me Angel. ‘Thank you, Angel. I hope we get to talk and meet when this is over…’ Angel wanted to reply but Antonio Rufus yelled, “You are a fool if you think you are in any position to make deals. Perhaps I ought to show you a demonstration of what I'm capable of…” He then stepped back and raised his gun, directing it to the head of the male Were posing as Xavier’s father. Angel clenched his jaw, shut his eyes and heard Antonio Rufus add, “I see this didn’t work on you…” Then a loud blast resounded in the night. The smell of blood assailed his senses. When he opened his eyes the male Were was dead. Angel noted that was the second Were to be wasted that day

Tangled. Hearts racing like they’d race a fucking marathon. The room was spinning. Angel couldn't move. The stranger was still inside him. Still hard. Then— The fucking incubus started to move again. “Shit, you’ve got to be kidding me,” Angel could not believe it, he croaked. ‘I have to run,’ his mind said one thing, but his body didn’t even want to move and leave. Instead his hips met the man’s every thrust. “You’re not done yet, are you, you beast?” Then Angel moaned again. **

"She's not like the sluts you sleep with." I know! "Disappear," I order, and he walks away and flips me his middle finger. The guys stand up, then we make our way downstairs. "Where are you going?" my mom asks us as we reach the door. "Walking Angel to her gym class," Ted replies, and my mom nods. We walk out and start jogging so that we can join her. "Why the sudden interest with Angel?" Daniel suddenly asks as he jogs behind me. "I need a new prey," I simply say while stuffing my hands in my pocket.

We're going to spend the rest of our lives together and I can't fucking wait. "I wanted this book... Spells and chantings" Angel showed the thick dark book. "Mom, i healed... I did it..." She smiled. Serenity smiled at her. "I am proud of you..." She kissed her forehead. When serenity touched Angel, her future flashed in front of her eyes. Serenity stepped back with loud and fearful gasp.
