## Chapter 18 ### Vaelora Vaelora's POV I didn’t look back at Zane. I didn’t care if he followed me or if he vanished back into the shadows like the ghost he was. Angel clenched his jaw, shut his eyes and heard Antonio Rufus add, “I see this didn’t work on you…” Then a loud blast resounded in the night. The smell of blood assailed his senses.
