He laughed, shaking his head. "Mr. Jeffers, I promise you this is real. I've done the research, and what I find most intriguing is Darick 'The Bloodthirsty’, leader of The Brooklyn Blood Brothers, has done some horrible things that’ll surely make the front page,” I explained, trying to keep my voice even. "Such as…?" Mr. Jeffers waved his hand, motioning for me to continue. "Rumor has it that he leaves gruesome bite marks on the neck of his victims," I whispered, hoping the suspense would win Mr. Jeffers over. “Vampiristic marks.”

Her eyes widened in fear. “Get him out!” she screamed, clutching her head. “Get him away from me!” The room erupted in chaos. Nurses rushed in, trying to calm her. Darius was dragged back, his face pale with shock. Jenna stood frozen, her heart pounding, torn between guilt and dread. But then Betty stopped screaming. She went eerily still. Her eyes rolled back, her body trembling. And before anyone could move, she whispered something that made the whole room freeze: “They’re coming… for all of us.”

"Keep an eye on this monster. He so much as looks at me wrong you have my permission to use ashwood and holy water on him." The vampire hissed but stayed where he was. I opened the cell door and entered the cell and grabbed her feet while alpha grabbed her shoulders. We both picked up her body and quickly made it out of the cell without incident. I handed her legs off to the gamma so I could lock the door. I noticed that Beta Rollings was a little too close to the vampire. Before I could do or say anything, beta Rollings had the vampire by the throat, choking him!

Seizing the opportunity, the wolf lunged at the both of them and bit their head off. Bato's perfectly round and shiny head rolled on the ground and was squashed to pulp by a Reaper. Rila stared in horror at her friends. She picked a dagger from her hips and threw it on the plant Badblood. The dagger sunk perfectly on the forehead.

“We turn right and we’ll find the corpse of the dhampir.” Mary said not moving her head to turn to her nor move one more step from where she was standing. Adrienne walked towards her and stood in front of Mary. She was a good inches taller than her so she has to stoop before her and she held both her hands and peered down at her. “Mary, you don’t have to be afraid. We’ll see the victim together. Together.” Adrienne said mustering courage in her voice and lifting Mary’s hand to their chest like it was a prayer.

The fire crackled between them. Betty’s throat tightened. “You arranged this.” “I arranged truth.” Cass’s gaze did not waver. “You were always going to need proof of what you are becoming.” Betty hated that part of her believed the woman. “What am I becoming?” Cass looked at her for a long moment. Then she said quietly, “The first wolf Thornfield has recognized in a century.” Before Betty could answer, the lodge shook with a distant crash. Both women turned toward the door. As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted.
