Luke screams through the mind link but I don't even respond because my focus is on my mate and how should I get her out from this filthy place. Another rogue tries to scamper away but I extend my claws and swipe my paw at the rogue's paw. "Maddox watch out !"Bloom screams at me . I turn my head to see a female rogue in human form trying to ram her knife into me . My movements are slow because I don't have time to register the attack. " Maddox!"Bloom screams again and jumps with all her strength Infront of me .The sliver coated knife with wolfsbane goes straight into her stomach and her tiny body lands on the ground with a loud thud .

The dew-covered grass appears to be covered in a layer of silver as the light from the moon above reflects off the dewdrops. I almost sigh in relief at the sight of it. But a shadow flickers on the ground and I freeze, my bow already poised and ready to shoot. The all-too familiar black leather with the silver raven emblem of the rogues stitched into the back comes into view, making my head spin. A rogue called me here. . . It’s clearly a male from the broadness of the shoulders and the cropped dark hair. Blood soaks his left arm, and I could see from the way the shoulders heave with each breath that he is in pain.

The soul-satisfying rumble of the motor made me smile as I clicked it into gear and took off down the street. Riding my bike as if I stole it, I zipped in and out of traffic until I reached the open road. The Rogues clubhouse came into view as I rounded the corner. An old abandoned bar had been converted into a clubhouse, the neon sign hung from the roof blinking off and on intermittently, buzzing as it swung in the wind. A veranda wrapped around the front, with tables and mismatched chairs placed haphazardly was a dumping place for bottles and ashtrays.

How dare they think lowly of me just because I am a woman when I am much more powerful than hundreds of them combined? I love killing Rogues using the abilities that I have and one of them is to control lightning. That's what they get for laying their filthy hands on me. They deserve to be tortured, but they're lucky enough that I'm in a hurry or they'll die an excruciating death.

“If I were you, I’ll try to get more used to shifting to your werewolf form. It would come in handy.” Ruby stepped out and the bars slid in place once more with a loud bang. “Especially for a rogue werewolf like you.”

Samson’s house came into view with rogues circling around it. Blaze instantly spotted the six rouges. The rouge positioned himself, ready to attack the Alpha. Blaze smirked at him. He lunged at Blaze, but he quickly dodged it and bit his neck. The rogue whimpered in pain. Blaze bit his neck hard, and he fell on the ground, dead. The other rouges snarled at the Blue Moon pack’s warriors. The beta known as Caleb attacked the rogues with the help of the warriors.

All four of us pulled into The Wayward Tap’s parking lot. The front door was propped open and the biggest of the three rogues was leaning against the outside of the building, smoking. All of us backed up to the door so we could easily load the alcohol in. I got out, followed by the rest of the guys. Nate bounded up to the rogue, chatting with him. Dean raised an eyebrow but I shrugged. The female rogue, or Solaris, walked out smiling. “We will need to take a look, see what you guys want.”

"We do get together once in a month but tonight is kinda impromptu" "Oh, okay" Meg said. They walked up to the entrance and Jake had to flash some sort of ID at the door to be scanned, fancy, then they walked into the bar. It was a plush setting, with private rooms and booths that had their own private bars and bartenders. She could hear muffled noises from closed doors but it looked as though most of the rooms were sound proof. The walls were grey and the lightening was well, dim. But it had the aura of elegance. It wasn't like the kind Juliet forced her to go to where sweaty bodies glued to each others and strange hands groped intimate parts of your body.

Rogues. I growl, moving closer to River and Clem to keep them protected. One holds the key to getting my mate back, the other, well, my mate would hate me if I don’t protect her. Artemis does the same and the warriors with us disperse up trees behind rocks, waiting for an attack. “I’m assuming rogues are near?” River whispers to Clem. “You seriously don’t smell them?” Clem asks. “My olfactory nerve was crushed in the rogue attack on my pack. I’ve not been able to smell for six fucking years.” She hisses and Artemis whips his head around, staring at her.

“At one point or another, you will be blamed, River for what I will do. For that, I would like to offer my apologies.” A rogue asking for an apology? My eyes squinted. “Are you really a rogue?” He gave me a boyish smile. “Why? Am I becoming sickly good? That you fell in love with me? I may look like someone who hasn't washed for a year, but I assure you, I am a handsome young man.” I acted to puke. “Handsome your ass.” He chuckled and his face turned serious. “I am grateful for knowing you, River. If you are not only serving Black Heart, I will bring you to our hideout. I will give you anything you want.”
