Now that I'm sure she's asleep, I step out of the bed, walking outside of the cabin. The cool hair swirls around me, chilling my skin. I tune my eyes to the surrounding, noticing any slight change. My breathing kicks up as I hear the faintest sounds of foosteps and my wolf is clawing it's way to the surface. It's extremely protective of Miranda. I walk deeper into the woods, taking advantage of my incredible eyesight. Someone is definitely here and even if I can't see them, I can smell than. A low growl escapes my mouth as my eyes begins to glow.

They don't have the strength that comes from the unity of being in a pack. Wolves are social creatures, and their wolves weaken significantly without that bond to an Alpha. Many rogues are on their own for years before they join other rogues, so they weaken a great deal. However, just because these rogues are weaker, they have the upper hand right now. River takes a deep breath and starts telling me a similar story to Ginny's.
