Khaid countered and picked the bottle of water, preparing to leave. “I can give you some herbs you know. This is not aphrodisiacs. It's a relaxing concoction for insomnia, body pain and unrest. Feeling giddy, Mikayla put on the bracelet and did a little spin for the guests. Cory let out a whistle. “Ben, this must have cost you a pretty penny.” Ben grinned. “All that matters is that Mikayla loves it.” Turning around, Ben walked toward me. He held a smaller carton and passed it to me. “This one’s for you, Kaycee.” I set my drink down and took the box. The packaging was very basic, without even a seal sticker. I peeked inside and found a generic blind-box plushie. It was from an old series that had been popular two years back.

“Bluey!! You finally came. For a second I thought you abandoned me and left me to rot here. Can you imagine Amanda even came here to tell me you wouldn't come and that Isabel wasn't my child, such nonsense”. Mr gold chuckled weakly. Bluey stood tall with her shiny blue dress and dark shades to hide all the evil behind her eyes. It seems blue was her favorite color just like her name. Isabel stood just beside her mother, her face nonchalant and calm.

Brendan blinked repeatedly and exhaled, “Wow…” “Cheesy, I know.” “No, that was… sweet,” he smiled faintly. “I can relate, kind of.” She smiled, “Yeah?” He nodded, taking a swig of his wine before speaking, “The type of blue I like is in the sky too, I suppose it’s as dusk is fading into the night. That shade of navy blue you get in the sky where the last bit of the sun still touches, but the moon begins to light the sky too… That’s the blue I like.”

I have to keep them alive. I saw her as I approached. A blue-haired woman, floating in the water, dead. I was frightened by how calm and serene her pale face appeared. I took hold of her and drew her near. I whispered, "Hold on," but she couldn't hear me. "I've got you." Swimming back to the shore required all of my might. Upon arriving at the riverbank, I placed her on the grass. She was not breathing, and her lips were bluish. I felt a wave of panic.

My heart almost leapt out of my chest as the sudden voice spoke to me, though I tried to pretend I had heard her sneak up on me by playing it calm and collected. “Ah, well, there is a lot to worry about,” I said as I lowered my gaze and looked over to the woman behind me. She had flowing platinum blonde hair, ice-blue eyes, and looked about my age. She was slender, moved with an air of grace, and was utterly beautiful. Had I not had found a mate in Rem, I would have wished for her to be my mate.

“How many people have you killed, Blue... Iris?” Her eyes suddenly widened, lips parted, then she gulped, but the gun remained pressed against my groin. “H-how d-did you know?” Her question was hesitant and wary. Huh! I could distract her. “My mom had a flower shop. Of all the flowers, she chose iris to bring home every day and placed it in my room. As annoying as it is, I liked the blue one. Your eyes are blue like an iris flower. They remind me of her.”

The worst thing imaginable is being a Ramos-Benley-Troy sandwich. I let out a breath of relief when Ramos happily obliges and takes my place beside the idiot he calls his only friend.
