Blurred Vision Upon Waking Novels & Stories

Everything feels fuzzy and confusing, like I’m trying to remember a dream that keeps slipping away from me. I suddenly hear my door creak open, which makes me jolt my eyes open immediately. The sound cuts through the fog in my brain like a knife. I blink several times, trying to focus my vision and figure out what time it is. The light streaming through my window tells me it’s early in the morning, but I have no idea exactly how early.

The blurry look of both eyes greeted me unceremoniously. Remembering how tightly I had closed my eyelids earlier there. I instantly blinked my eyelids a few times in a fairly quick motion. Trying to get rid of the blurry vision in my eyes now. Until not long after, the vision of my two eyes now completely became clear, and I began to look right at the reflection of myself right there in the mirror now. "No... no... this is impossible."

My vision blurred and the music felt quite loud . “You look pale.” A concerned waitress said. “Are you alright?” I nodded weakly. “Yes—just a bit worn out.” But I wasn't worn out. There was a problem, something was wrong and I couldn't place my fingers on what it was. I poured a customer’s drink but the glass felt cold in my hands and my vision was blurry as I tried to focus.by blinking. I almost dropped the glass because it slipped a little. The older bartender next to me, Marco reached for it before I could put it down.

I was losing the battle and felt my breath leaving me, my vision starting to fade as blackness encroached on the edges of my consciousness. As I slowly opened my eyes, the sterile white surroundings of a hospital room came into focus. The bright lights overhead caused a pulsing headache to form behind my eyes, and the blurry vision only added to the disorientation. I felt groggy and the room spun around me. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust to the harsh lighting. Everything felt hazy and indistinct, making it difficult to make sense of my surroundings. My thoughts were muddled, and it took a great effort to remember how I got here.

For the first time in my whole life, I was truly alone. I begged my eyelids to open, just a crack, anything. It was as if I was ripping the sensitive skin of my eyelids open. Finally, I managed to pry my eyelids partially open. The world surrounding me was dark hazy and unrelenting. I couldn’t focus on anything; my vision was blurred and spun. “Dammit, how are you awake already?” Hodges gravely tones assault my ears like nails on a chalkboard.

Aurora's P.O.V: A slow beeping sound woke me up from a deep slumber. At first, everything in front of my eyes was hazy, unfocused, but slowly, as I blinked several times, my vision started to clear. But still the drowsiness wanted to take over me, lull me back into a deep sleep. But I fought the urge. Something felt wrong…different. And it scared me. Forcing my eyes open with all the strength I had, I looked up at the clear white ceiling and immediately knew that I was no longer in my own house.

My eyesight became blurred and I fall on the bed, drifting into sleep. I didn't wake up until the next morning.

I think, groaning as I crack the bones in my neck and focus my attention back on the road that has the outhouse on its end. My vision sharpens even more as time sneaks by, and I blink rapidly to adjust to a view without minute smudges or blurs. It works, but the lightness in my head does not disappear. Mikael had commented that whatever I'd been given after I fell unconscious was the reason for my blurred vision. So, I'm pretty sure the theory also applies to my faint dizziness.

I woke up in the medical centre. Blinking blearily, it took me a while to return to myself. My vision was blurred, hazy streaks of light and dark and other things, colourful things that I could not yet truly recognise, spun together and made my temples throb.

By morning, I was having a swollen eye which was a result of lack of sleep, I also had a terrible headache thereby making my vision blur. I had a quick shower in my room and came downstairs for breakfast. Lesley was already sitting on the table, looking as handsome as ever. His piercing grey gaze fixated on me the moment he heard my footsteps on the stairs thereby making weak in the knee. "How are you feeling now?" He asked as I took my sit opposite him.
