My cheeks flushed and hurt so hard as blood surged into everywhere he touched. It was like something inside me was coming alive. I reacted reflexively and pushed back on his chest to free myself. Surprisingly, he let go. I staggered back before regaining my balance. He gave me a warm charming smile. I averted my gaze again as my cheeks hurt. Why was I blushing? I cleared my throat nosily once again. The hall suddenly felt hot and I fanned myself with both hands and blew air out of my mouth. “If what you say is true –”

I touched my face, searching for something I can't see. He started laughing. "What's that for". I asked faking angry. "There is nothing on your face physically, your cheek turns red, you have being blushing hard nowadays". He said, I blushed harder, I looked down in embarrassment. "You don't have to be embarrassed, it is normal for girls to blush when talking to me". He teased. "You are now feeling superior, right". I said rolling my eyes. "Yes I am, I am handsome you know". He bragged.

I slowly pulled away from him, wiping my tears with the back of my hand as I nodded my head. "Am I making you happy? I’m only good at giving shit to people…" He smiled sheepishly like he wanted to hide his face, and it didn’t slip my eyes the way his cheeks started to be tinted with red. Was my Alpha blushing? I giggled as I moved my hands to his cheeks, pressing my fingers together against his skin to pinch him. "I didn’t know a moody Alpha like you knew how to blush." "Blush?" “How do I know when a lady's blushing?” She looked at me, raising a surprised brow. “Why do you want to know that?” “Fine. You can ask me a question too. Answer mine.” “Well,” She placed her fingers on her smooth cheeks. “Here, right here. It goes all hot, and maybe a little pink. I don't know. My face doesn't grow pink though.” I tried my best not to let loose my laughter. Even as she spoke, her whole face looked like a tomato. She continued, “...Then, there's the neck, the ears, and probably the girl's reactions.” Even as she spoke, her eyes still never met mine.

He smirks, back to his carefree self. “Guess that would make for a smoother transition to power.” I joke. Colton and Grant join us shortly along with the Mabry twins. We finish eating, and I go to find Lindsey who is staring at color swatches that look extremely similar. “I think I like blushing rose better than perfectly peach. It’s got less of an orange hue. You said orange wasn’t your color before. Besides it goes better with bright white. You’d probably want more of a cream color with the perfectly peach.” Lindsey says, holding two of the swatches up at the light.

She didn't say anything, just studied my face with her critical hazel eyes. "You're pretty," she said after a minute. Frankly, I was quite tired of trying to hide my heated cheeks, so I let her see the color run to my face, my blood boiling to the surface. The thing I found odd was even though my blood was silver, I could still blush normally. I guess I should have been more grateful than skeptical. "You are too," I said back, honestly. She was. She had the Alpha's beauty in her, the way her olive skin was complemented by her dark hair and glittering eyes. She blushed too, bright pink against her skin.
