I let go, let the bond slip through my fingers, wade back out of the strange, dark place until Cadoc is a stern, menacing male again with cold, blank eyes. I gnaw my lower lip. “I can’t help blushing, you know. It’s not a disease or anything.” The crease appears between his eyebrows. “If you were wondering—it’s fine. Just a blush.” I poke a spot under my clavicle to show him how my skin blanches white. When my arm moves, I flash the very top of my left nipple. He licks his lips, and then he shakes himself, finally dropping his hands from my elbows.

(Olandria’s POV) The question stayed there. Not in the air… but somewhere deeper. It was like it had settled under my skin instead of just hanging between us. What should the rabbit do? I stared at the canvas, but I wasn’t seeing it clearly anymore. The colors had started to shift from chaos into something almost… intentional. Dark blues bleeding into muted reds, streaks of orange cutting through like something trying and failing to break free. It wasn’t something I could name, but it felt like something pulled in two directions and refused to tear.

Nevertheless, his gaze was still fixated on the road as he spoke. "Thank you. And you look ravishing." she replied, looking at him. Niel didn't know how but all of a sudden felt something rush through his body up to his cheeks, as they began to burn like lava. Was he blushing? No, men don't blush. Maybe he is just feeling shy. But what's the difference?. He smiled as he realised he had just been defeated. He was blushing because of her comment, and is shy because of her presence. Is this how love is? So situated and coherent? So relish and trim?

I snap. “Your heartbloom is darkening.” The words make me pause. I hadn’t noticed the change of color on my skin. Slowly, I pull my hands from his grip and reach for my shoulder. The bloom sits on my shoulder, usually nothing more than a soft silver and red spiral. Now the lines are deeper and darker. It is like ink is bleeding beneath my skin. “That’s new,” I whisper, trying not to feel fazed by the change.

After a while, I was able to put myself in control. "I'm not hurt Urano. It's called a blush. It happens when a lady is shy and she gives that smile. The cheeks puff up and go all red". I explained with a smile. "You look beautiful when you smile". He complimented and I covered my face in shyness. "Did I embarass you?" He asked, getting up from the floor where he was still kneeling. "You're always worried about every single thing!" I exclaimed. "When it comes to you, I can't take chances". He said and sat beside me on the bed.

Blair’s stood in front of the bathroom mirror watching Roman shave. She knew by that afternoon he would have a noticeable 3 o’clock shadow. She had loved the feel of his stubbled chin as he had kissed her breasts. Her breasts bore a delicate trace of a faint beard burn. Surprisingly, it didn’t cause her any pain. When she first noticed the marks on her body, a wave of pleasurable memories rushed through her, causing her cheeks to blush. Even now, heat flooded her body.

she gulped. “No never, you’re perfect” I stumbled over the words, feeling my cheeks heating up. Rayden’s hand reached out, she placing it on my cheek. My eyes widened at the touch, it warm and comforting. “How, how do you do that to your face?” she frowned, her finger tips skimming the skin. I let out a chuckle, “It’s… it’s called blushing. It happens when you’re embarrassed” “You’re embarrassed?” O damn… this was awkward. A giggle escaped her lips, she letting out a gasp a second later.

My cheeks flushed and hurt so hard as blood surged into everywhere he touched. It was like something inside me was coming alive. I reacted reflexively and pushed back on his chest to free myself. Surprisingly, he let go. I staggered back before regaining my balance. He gave me a warm charming smile. I averted my gaze again as my cheeks hurt. Why was I blushing? I cleared my throat nosily once again. The hall suddenly felt hot and I fanned myself with both hands and blew air out of my mouth. “If what you say is true –”

Instead of disappearing, it deepened. Maybe I am running a fever? I placed the back of my hand against my forehead but it seemed fine. My temperature was fine. I checked my pulse just in case but it was also fine. Why am I still blushing? Oh, wait, Daniel... I washed my face hoping that my blush would go away. When I looked back at the mirror, my blush had crept to my neck. I smacked myself on my forehead and threw my dirty clothes into the laundry basket and walked out of the bathroom. Daniel had sat down on the bed with a pair of sweatpants and his computer resting on his thighs.

I could hardly believe my eyes because our magic normally dwindles when we shift, but mine was still present. Onyx didn’t waste any time. He and Hati were the same size, but Hati was a muddy brown and just ugly. He smelled like decay and death and his eyes were a glowing red of pure evil. He snapped at Onyx’s tail and he turned his body towards Hati’s flank and bit down hard. Onyx didn’t let go and he shook his body and Onyx loosened his jaws. First blood had been drawn.
