My cheeks flushed and hurt so hard as blood surged into everywhere he touched. It was like something inside me was coming alive. I reacted reflexively and pushed back on his chest to free myself. Surprisingly, he let go. I staggered back before regaining my balance. He gave me a warm charming smile. I averted my gaze again as my cheeks hurt. Why was I blushing? I cleared my throat nosily once again. The hall suddenly felt hot and I fanned myself with both hands and blew air out of my mouth. “If what you say is true –”

Nicolas repeated without thinking. The supposedly pretty puppy's eyes widened at the words. "Pretty Puppy?" She parroted meekly, her skin turning crimson like a hot saucer. Nicolas' eyes brightened watching her light olive skin turn red. Even the Noble ladies he was used to seeing did not blush this much. Some women would force their expression to be perceived as a blush but it looked awkward and probably should never be repeated. Nicolas did not care for one's cheek reddening, but he was curious and intrigued whenever she blushed. He wondered if he could always elicit this kind of reaction from her.

More blood poured from my mouth as I gasped for air that wouldn't come, my vision starting to blur around the edges. "Alpha!" Rivers shouted, rushing to my side as I collapsed completely. Through the haze of pain, I was dimly aware of Lynn kneeling beside me, her earlier anger replaced by panic. "What's happening to him?" she demanded. Rivers was pulling at my shirt, exposing my chest, and I heard him curse viciously. "Look at his skin," he said urgently. "Those markings weren't there before." I managed to focus enough to look down at myself, and what I saw sent ice through my veins. Dark lines were spreading across my torso like living tattoos, twisting and writhing beneath my skin in patte

I whisper, not knowing why I explain it to her. Her eyes shiver at me with a lovely smile curving across her face. It makes me smile too. She looks away nervously, this time not in anger. But I can see her cheeks turning red as she purses her lips to hide the blush. If I have ever known a woman at least a percent, I can clearly say she's blushing and she looks even more beautiful while blushing like this. What's happening to me suddenly? Why am I literally feeling this way for Emily?

Light formed along my collarbone, faint at first then it brightened enough that I could see it through the fabric of my shirt. Lines appeared beneath my skin in pale silver curves, nothing like the wolf marks carved in their halls.They didn’t look out of place, instead they looked like they had always been there. The lines brightened once, the chanting stopped, the clearing went quiet. And I knew, without looking up, that whatever had answered was still watching.

Especially Claire. I looked into the mirror and zeroed in on the white mark on my neck. My light skin nearly drowned out the stark white mark, but it was still visible against the creamy skin on my neck. The white mark spread from the front to back of my neck just where my shoulder and neck connect. The white lines are long and all connect together, but it was still hazardous enough to obviously a scar.

He doesn't bother to comb his long hair, always messy, falling at his forehead, which makes his face so cute. "You're staring at me," he smiles teasingly. "I'm not!" I quickly look away, feeling a bit shy. "Since when you're shy, Samlin Greenham?" he lifts himself up by pressuring on his elbow, gazing down at me. "You're literary blushing. You know what happens when you blush? Your cheeks turn red, like spilling color. Just like this," he puts a finger on my left cheek. "I know, shut up!" I giggle, swating his arm.

The fabric was damp from the humid air and clung to his chest, doing nothing to hide the way his body flexed beneath it—shoulders broad, arms coiled with power, his chest rising and falling with each steady breath like a storm waiting to break. Then he stepped back, just enough to unfasten the buttons of his shirt, his eyes never leaving mine. One by one, the fabric parted, revealing the smooth, bronzed skin beneath, each line of muscle like something sculpted—defined, lean, powerful. The shirt slipped from his shoulders and hit the stone floor, and my breath caught.

his shameless comment successfully put a red blush on cheeks making his husky grin grow bigger. taking advantage of my distraction he pushed me off of him and pinned me down getting on top of me making me gasp at the sudden intimidate position and blushed even more. He moved closer making my eyes go wide. "I love the blushing you lemon. epically when it's the blush i put on!"

She said gently. "W–what… what do you mean by… what are you talking about?" I stuttered, tucking a few strands of my ear that dangled in front of my face to the back of my ear. "I have noticed you blushing for a while now. What is the problem?" She forced out through gritted teeth. "W-what… blushing? Who's blushing… I wasn't blushing… you were blushing." I cackled nervously and started fiddling with different things that I got the chance to touch.
