He didn't come with a key and that didn't mean they had forgotten to give him one; it was because the door worked in a structured manner. The door opened upon command from the king, meaning that anyone who had a direct or indirect order to go to the archives could do so without needing a key. He was barely five inches away from the door when both eyes on the head of the carved Lycan turned yellow, and the door opened inward. As he stepped inside, the door closed with a thud. The room was big and empty, except for a bottle in a thick, dark-coloured glass which was boldly labelled ‘The Containment of Truth’

I tilted my head, giving a small nod. Kyle reached out and pressed the spine of a blue book. It shifted. Slide inward. A soft, mechanical click followed, and the entire bookshelf trembled before slowly pulling away—revealing a hidden door concealed behind it. My breath caught. Kyle stepped closer, gripping the golden doorknob. He twisted it twice in opposite directions. Click. The sound echoed softly in the stillness. Then, with a long, creaking sigh— the door opened. My jaw fell open the moment I stepped inside.

“There’s no royal library here, miss. Only the family study. It’s down the hall, but… only family members are allowed inside.” “Thank you,” I said with a smile. She left. I waited a few seconds after she left, then turned and made my way down the hall. At the end, I reached a heavy wooden door with carvings of wolves and crescent moons on it. I knelt and reached into my sleeve for the lock-pick elder Karen had taught me to use back at home. But the door creaked open before I could try anything. Unlocked? Well, that's a tad bit suspicious.

Walking towards it, I knock on the door but no answer, I knock again and still no answer, so I just opened the door, walking in. Wow.....I am amazed, this office was big enough to contain about forty people, a leather chair and desk were facing directly at the door, a small stairs that goes down, towards a small parlour, a bar by the corner. I walk over to the stairs, carefully going down, the stairs was made of glass. I set the tray on the table. I sigh and lean up, I noticed a bookshelf by the left corner, but when I was about to walk towards it, the sound of the door being open and shut kept me at halt.

But when I moved to put it back, I noticed the black button tucked behind the neatly arranged spines. I smiled at the book in my hand, thankful to whomever made the mistake. Then I reached in and pressed the button. Suddenly the shelf moved ever so slightly to the right, without a single creak. My breath caught, realizing it was a door, Before I could even process it, I heard footsteps coming toward the living room. I panicked, pressed the button again and the shelf moved back into place just in time. I sighed in relief, forgetting the book was still in my hand until Anthony spoke.

Newspapers covered the glass door and windows, which proved to me that they hadn’t operated this place in some time. Xander neared it and simply pushed the door open. “You don’t keep it locked?” “We never lock around here,” he said. “It’s completely safe.” We walked inside and the dust that tickled my nostrils made me sneeze. As we entered, there was a wooden counter with wooden panels to my left. The floor was wooden and covered in a thick layer of dust. The shelves were covered by white clothes, perhaps to protect the books. The smell of old books and wood wasn’t at all bad. In fact, I liked it.

I have a slender but curvy form and I'm tall -- not exquisitely but moderately, I would say. A thought suddenly occurs to me and I turn around sharply. I walk to the corridor between my bedroom and my living room and took a small turn to the left... "I told Louie to ensure about this, I hope he doesn't disappoints me," I mutter as I walk. "Oh seems he didn't." I smile when I come upon a huge mahogany door. With ease, I push the door open and the scent of freshly printed books greets my nostrils. "Now, this is what I'm talking about." I smirk.

Two guards were at the either side of the huge carved door almost reaching its ceiling. Ryan removed the black glass from his eyes and put it back in its previous place. He then extended his hand towards Maze dragging her out of her reverie. Maze smiled nervously as she allowed him to hold her hand and then they both entered through the door that was opened by the gatekeepers. As they stepped inside, Maze hitched in her breath. She exhaled audibly, her eyes widened at the sight of such a huge collection of books. The exterior was completely made of wood. No touch of cement was there, at least not visible to the bare eyes.

Why in heaven's name had everything become so out of control in so little time? A sudden rap on the door shattered the still silence. Laura jolted; her body grew hard as if the thunder had just muted overhead. Each beat connected with the next, muffled, to create a deafening thump in her ears. Obscured in the soft light from the bedside lamp, the doorknob glistened, making a small but forbidding barrier between her and whatever waited on the other side: whoever. Forcing herself into motion, Laura gripped the cool metal knob and turned it as she braced herself for whatever might come next.

Like I should be in there. Slowly, I walk towards the door. I extend my hand to the doorknob, feeling static in the air. I swallow hard, a little scared of how it's going to react against my skin. I half expected there to be a booby trap or two, but to my surprise, the door swings open. A blast of cold wind wafts from the office even though all the windows have been boarded shut. Papers and books are stacked up to the wall with no shelves. There's a huge table in the middle of the room, full of papers and jars of pickled animals and even more books.
