“You sure they can’t take it from me?” He nodded. “Absolutely.” We drove the rest of the way to a small house in the middle of town. He led me inside and my mouth dropped open as we moved through it. Every wall in every room was filled to the brim with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. On 95% of them, there were hundreds of books. On the rest of them were beautiful glass, crystal and porcelain figurines of almost every single type of bear and wolf. Every room had a light system that would make reading at any time of the day easy. Every single window was ornately designed with stained glass scenes that took my breath away.

Within moments, I felt a drastic change in my surroundings.

Turning it over, there was a small key taped to the back. Upon pressing the key into the lock that graced the cover, I clicked the lock alive and the door into the library did the same and opened up. “Mate, where are you?” Justin growled. “I can smell you, Helen. We have to get to the ceremonial dinner soon. I don’t have time to chase you and—”

Curiosity tugged at her to go to the library. She got out of the room and followed the path Alice had described. The library's doors creaked open, revealing rows of shelves stacked with books. The air was a bit dusty and cobwebs hung around. She wondered if people hardly came here. She trailed her fingers along the spines of the books until she found one titled: “The Lunar Bond, The mating of wolves” Her hand trembled slightly as she lifted the heavy book. She opened it, reading in silence about bonds, instinct and transformations.

Hudson scraped his nape, flashing his awkward smile. “No! You are very much needed here.” I chimed in. I was afraid if we were to be alone, Noah would continue our activity. Not that I hated it, I even let myself fall to his charm earlier, but this wasn’t a bedroom, and I still wanted to look for information about witches. This was the best place to search for it. Hudson’s face gleamed upon hearing me. “Honored Lady, please tell me. What are you looking for?” “The Book of Spells, preferably dark witches’ Book of Spells.”
