The Bookstore Temptation

The Bookstore Temptation

Her cathedral. She slouched into her best corner chair—stuffed, tufted velvet in tired blue—pullding out a book from her tote. A quiet night's reading before bed was now her ritual, and for tonight, she opened what was familiar and comforting: *The Light Between Oceans*. The book always bore its imprint on her. Loss. Forgiveness. Breaking and binding decisions. She opened to the top of it, and the world disintegrated. Somewhere in the city—several stories above, in a steel and glass building—Julian Blackwood lay in his dark, sleek bedroom, staring at the book she had given him.

Light & Darkness: Book 2

Light & Darkness: Book 2

- she said to herself, rubbing eyes lightly with her hand. After all, Nadir had spent all her life in the Underworld, and to feed she would always go out at night, returning before sunrise, so she was not used to it, and the sun's rays striking her eyes were not pleasant. Nadir got up and pulled the blinds all the way down, then folded the couch she slept on and stowed the sheets in it.

Light & Darkness: Book 3

Light & Darkness: Book 3

Lots of other rustling sounds could be heard from other parts of the forest, after all, the other night animals were also going out in search of food. I took a deep breath, drawing the crisp night air into my lungs. The night magic of nature around was not much weaker than during the day, therefore I also absorbed it with every cell in my body. I felt lighter immediately, as if all the problems that had been tormenting me a few minutes ago suddenly disappeared. I was not afraid of the dark or anything that could be lurking in it, after all, I was a sorceress, able to defend myself in case of need. Besides, I could not feel any dark energy anywhere, so I was able to freely enjoy the fresh air

The Billionaire’s Stolen Bride

The Billionaire’s Stolen Bride

The lightest moment in a story that had contained almost no light at all. I noticed the book on his nightstand the following week. Not a pregnancy book. Not a business strategy guide. Not any of the texts I'd seen him read during our time together. A different kind of book. The title was something about understanding patterns and breaking cycles. The kind of book that therapists recommend to clients who are ready to examine the machinery that produced them.

whispers beneath the moon

whispers beneath the moon

The kind of room that could swallow you whole. I liked it. I was never really a “color” kind of girl when it came to bedrooms anyway. Darkness makes it easier to sleep. To breathe. To disappear. And this room... this room was huge. Massive, really. A small library filled one wall, all dark oak shelves lined with books. The chandeliers above were deep black, gothic and beautiful, catching the faint glow of moonlight leaking in from the open balcony door. The morning breeze danced through the room like it had a secret.

Dark Journal

Dark Journal

They come armoured against dread. The light surprises them. Quiet. Unhurried. Moving in slow beautiful waves along surfaces that are not quite walls and not quite air. Not the light of any sun or flame or manufactured source. Something older than all of those. Something that has been here since before light had a name. At the center of it, in the place where the light is most concentrated and most still, there is a book.

The library at ten PM was a different room than the library at eight-forty-five AM. In the mornings it had the quality of a thinking space — quiet and useful, the particular silence of accumulated books and undisturbed air. At night it was something else. The overhead lights were off. The lamp on the reading table threw a circle of amber that made the rest of the room feel deliberately dark, the shelves retreating into shadow, the corners becoming their own private territories.

Wait…what? Transmigrating to someone he didn’t like is so funny. I really want to see how he’ll survive in another person’s body. This is an amazing book, Author. I love the tension, suspense…everything.

I started this expecting a typical transmigration story, but it surprised me in the best way. Watching the MC struggle to survive in the body of someone he once looked down on is both entertaining and satisfying.

Mated to my step brother

Mated to my step brother

But I had to admit, that was a good move. Walking towards the shelf, I started going through the books searching for that one book. Ten books. Fifty books. Before I knew it, my éyes started aching from staring at the books. Since Thaddeus warned me not to turn on any lights to avoid alerting the enemies of my return, the only light was from a small lantern he lent me. I was getting frustrated. If I was to go through all the books to determine the exact one, a whole day might not be enough either and with the time limit, I had to be fast.

The Rejected Curvy Luna Queen

The Rejected Curvy Luna Queen

The chamber opened before us with a silent gasp, its walls bathed in an ethereal glow that seemed to pulse with the heartbeat of the earth itself. My eyes adjusted slowly, drawn to the center where a tome lay shrouded in the ghostly light-a beacon of ancient knowledge amidst the encroaching darkness. Eden stepped forward, his lean frame casting a long shadow as he approached the pedestal upon which the book rested.

The Perfect Traitor

The Perfect Traitor

She needed their comfort and that letter was all she had. Taking the book and the letter she left her room. It was late at night and so most of the lights were off. There were guards walking around patrolling but that was the only activity. She made her way to the library. Her room was slightly cold at night and so she went to the library where she could light a fire and read the letter and the book. She made sure that no one was around when she went. Not wanting to have any distractions. She was sure that the next day Ace would be bothering her for the book so she didn’t want to wait any longer and get it over with. And depending on what she found, would depend on if the book would even be
