"This is the chapter about the ancient evils," Orion commented as he flipped the pages. It seemed like something, or someone, had reached into the book and torn off the pages with claws. I suppressed the anger bubbling to the surface at such damage done to something so historical.

He stepped back instantly. “You and I both know I won’t give you my blood Caesar, nothing you can tell me is worth the price.” I said and even though I badly wanted to know the Vampire’s identity, I turned for the door, ready to leave without the information. Caesar sighed heavily behind me. “Fine. Give me the Beta’s blood instead.” I paused and glanced at Duke who shrugged. “If my Alpha wills it, I’ll give the bloodsucker a taste.” I glanced at Caesar who was staring at us intently then glanced back to Duke.
