Letting Go in Three Seconds
I moved the rolling table over, opened the lid of the boxed lunch that already had condensation, and started eating to fill my stomach.
It was summer, but the business lunch set still came with hot soup.
I touched the side of the bowl of pumpkin soup. "It's so hot, I won't drink it."
The man silently picked up the pumpkin soup that he had pushed aside, scooped up a spoonful, and blew on it. "Here, it's easy to eat now," he brought the spoon to my lips.
The sweet syrup entered my throat, and I stared blankly as Zane patiently cooled the soup spoon by spoon, making me sigh with deep emotion.
