She was sleeping while resting her back on the headboard of the bed, a pillow was on her lap with a book on it, indicating that she slept while studying. He smiled walking to her and took the book from her hands, placing it on the table. Before taking away the pillow, he paused for a few seconds to adore the sight in front of him. The way she was clutching the pillow made her look as if she was in the 8th month of her pregnancy. She will look so cute with her baby bump. His hand etched for touching her baby bump, he can't wait to touch it and place numerous kisses on her belly. Cute belly.

“Yes. I wonder how you didn't notice it as you entered.” “I was too hungry to notice anything.” “All this is so pretty. And you got everything in pink too?” Alice gushed over the various items. “Yes. The couch is a rare one. It's adjustable and basically adjusts the best positions.” “And you got me books too?” Alice said pulling out the volumes of books.” “I figured that you may be a bit bored by yourself.”

There was a king-sized bed with a custom black sheet, matching the black satin embedded headboard and the pitch black wallpaper, with the painting of a crown in the middle and the name KING boldly written under the painting. Probably, it was his room....but if it was, why then did he direct me here? Keira couldn't help but beat herself to the question while feeding her eyes with a tour around the room. There was a black shelf on the other side of the bed and it had tons of books neatly arranged in each of its cubicles. "He must love reading to have these books on his shelf." She aired her thoughts out loud, walking towards the shelf, catching sight of a familiar book cover.

I sighed and leaned back and heard something click behind me. Quickly sitting upright, I turned to see what had made the sound and realized that the fake pillow had moved! Another click echoed through the room and this time a compartment opened in the armrest of the enormous cement throne. I took a peek and inside there was a book. An ancient book by the looks of things. I looked at Freya with wide eyes and then looked at the book again.

"I mean, everyone should have a soft pillow, y'know? Hard pillows hurt your neck and....stuff" He raised his brow and chuckled again shaking his head. He picked up his pillow and threw it at me, and I, using my cat-like reflexes easily caught it with one hand. I felt his pillow and gosh, it was even softer than my own. "Woah, your pillow is even softer than mine, it feels like a feather!" I gushed at him and brought his pillow to him handing it in his hand. I looked up at Elijah to see him looking at me with a tiny smile. I gave him a shy smile in return and went back to what I was doing. I set up my books on the table and put the flower I plucked from the garden here.

I look over to where Primus had been sitting not so long ago. What's this? Primus left something behind. A book? Was this the gift he meant to give me? It is a small thing, dainty. I cannot imagine someone as large as Primus ever reading this because how could he ever hold onto it without breaking it? It looks so precious, and fragile. Even as a child, I can't imagine he would have been small or careful enough to read it. Gently, as if lifting a rose from a vase, I pick up the blush pink volume, marveling at the delightful texture of its silk binding, the title embroidered in gold. While I might not know many words yet, I know enough that I can read the title of this book.

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

I begin to stand up and grab the smaller hamper when Lorie begins to speak. "Um.. Layla?" She says hesitantly. "Yes." I reply back gently. "Can we read a book tonight?" She asks with pleading eyes. "Sure!" I reply. "What did you have in mind?" I ask as I approach the side of her bed. Slowly Lorie pulls a book out from under her pillow and hands it to me as I sit down on the bed next to her. The book is a mild chapter book and the label reads "Hank the Cowdog".

She grabbed a thick book and pulled it off the shelf before returning to her seat. She placed the book on the coffee table in front of me so I could see it. My eyes widened when I saw the gorgeous purple and white designs on the book with dark purple lettering that read: Spell Book. “A spell book?” I gasped, running my fingers down the front cover. “Is this real?” She nodded.

“Thank you.” “Is that all, Your Highness?” “Yes, Reid. Good night.” “Good night, Prince Jarren.” I hung up the phone and tossed it on the bed. I picked up the book off my desk and propped myself against the headboard. I looked at the cover. “What to Expect When You’re Expecting .”Yes, I was reading a pregnancy book. I wasn’t sure how much of it would relate to Jillie and me since our baby wasn’t human, well, not completely human, but I was finding out many different little facts. It was…fascinating.
