Unlike us werewolves, the Lycans had more luxurious houses, mostly for those with higher positions. Well, since a lot of Alphas and packs from around the world were coming, we were in a long queue where the Herald was announcing names of the people who arrived, but seriously, it was not like the Lycans really cared about us. One book seems to grab his attention in the historical section. I've read a decent deal of that section for my studies but the one he grabs I'd only ever passed over. Deep blue but faded with lettering that may have once been metallic on the spine. "'History of Lycans, Vampires, and Magi, Volume One.' Seems a little small to cover the importance of all three species." "It is only volume one," I offer.

I needed to find a way to learn more without arousing suspicion. After breakfast, I excused myself and hurried back to my room. I retrieved the book and the papers, spreading them out on the bed. The symbols were intricate, each one telling a story of pain and power. I began to read the book more carefully, focusing on the section about blood magic and the specific bloodline of witches and warlocks. I spent hours poring over the book and my notes, losing track of time. The more I read, the more I realized how dire the situation was. The Lycans were not just facing an internal threat; they were up against a powerful enemy with ancient knowledge and dark magic.

I didn't particularly have any interest in history, and these books didn't look like anything exciting, but still, I decided to take a look at a number of them just in case they could point me in a direction or reveal one of the many mysteries I was seeking answers to. The first book I saw was one about the history of wolves and Lycans, I stared in disbelief as I read about mythical creatures from the dull yellow pages of a certain brown cover. The Lycans were superior to the wolves and ruled over them for a long time too. They had unique powers and different features that allowed them to shift without turning fully into a wolf but a half-wolf.

Elizabeth's point of view: When I was done showering, I took one of the books that I grabbed yesterday from the library and I started reading. Besides getting the information I need, this book does me a great favor by keeping me company. I took one book that's called {The enemy 'Lycans}. It's a book written by the vampire scientist and philosopher 'Athan Denovo'. As expected, this one defined Lycans as the enemy number one of the vampires since they are quietly as strong as the vampires.

I decide to start with trying to find what ingredients may have been used in the sedative Clay gave me. The first book I pull off the shelf isn't very helpful. It discusses the different myths about how lycans were created but doesn't talk about any possible weaknesses. Placing the book back on the shelf, I scan the titles next to it: 'Lycan Growth and Maturation', 'The Legend of the Lycan', and 'Lycan magic'. Magic? I've never heard of lycans being able to use magic. My interest peaked, and I pull the book off of the shelf and open to the first chapter. I skim through the text, but soon shut the book, deciding to focus on my first task.

It seems impossible to get grasp of this rollercoaster they call their destiny.
