I turned around to look for the Latin dictionary. Of all the subjects in this school, Latin was the one I hate. It's old and mysterious, and our adviser would always remind us to use it properly. Well, we did. It's just annoying to be reminded every time. And here I am, trying to find out what on earth is the meaning of this note I wrote. I stand up and ran to a near bookshelf, containing not much than ten books. Mostly about Latin, and some are just journals. I fingered every book, reading every title while a single candle is lit standing atop the bookshelf.

Mate to the King

Mate to the King

"This doesn't make any sense." I peer at my mate with furrowed brows. "You're kidding right?" He makes a face at me. "What?" "You're holding it upside down." He squints at it then flips it over. "Oh. Yeah this makes a lot more sense." I roll my eyes and turn back to the maps on the wall. "Why are you reading that? Do you even know what a chimera is?" I ask. "Well no but I wanted to practice my Latin, and this was the first thing in Latin that I found on your bookshelf."

"Of course second master, I'm sure she will help you the best way she can but how do I identify the book?" "It is a round book called II libro d'goeteia" "II libro d'goeteia?" "Yes, the book of magic."

Dragons Trust

So, if you want sense I suggest you-" "Kade." Kade flipped through the book, page by page and a horrific image censored in black and white... It was of a girl accused of being a witch, the ropes bound her hands to a cross and feet together stripped bare. Her skin torn her face bloodied, the chains the only thing holding her up. "So, she was a witch?" "What does the writing say, here?" Cassidy brushed the black ash that concealed a sentence written in Latin. 'Et clamavit puella lupum.'

Parshawna Macduff- The greatest Witch of the decade

She asked after some time as she failed to find the thing-" Did you guys find the book?" I quickly closed the door and walked towards her. I took the book from my selves and handed her over. Her eyes were shocked as she exclaimed in excitement-" is it the book of Elis?" I nodded in yes as I sat beside her and we started looking inside the book. There were so many things that were written in Latin. She started to read slowly translating to me as I sat beside her listening to her. Junnie started translating-" The secret of Witchlands were lies in the soul of one true witch"

She furthered, her interest obviously piqued. "Mostly myths and legends, religious texts and books, many Latin books from past times," I replied honestly because it wasn't odd for mortals to be fascinated by that sort of thing. Mortals always searched for ways to further their knowledge about things they did not fully understand. Things like God, the Devil, Angels, Demons, the supernatural in general piqued the interest of many humans.

I normally read werewolf stories, which is how I found this author as I've been reading the Kylie's other books. This is the first story I've read with Demons and Angels, and I have really enjoyed it. A massive congratulations to Kylie for another great story. Looking forward to more stories :)

I was enthralled by this story of good and and evil. I believe you are a little closer to the mark than most which makes this story very interesting to read. I was very impressed. I definitely think you should do a follow up. Your writing is very talented. Thank you for an amazing tale. Please more.

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

Resurrected (Book #9 in the Vampire Journals)

Caitlin summoned her knowledge of Latin, and knew that translated to: Three Books of Charms, Spells and Sorceries. Intrigued, she turned the cover, and saw that it was all in Latin. Luckily, her Latin was still good enough for her to translate in her head. The long title page read: “In which all the species and causes of spells are described and explained with the Philosophers and Theologians. With the ways to fight the illusions of Demons, and the refutation of the causes behind the power of Witchcraft. 1589. Venice.” Caitlin dove into the book, scanning through, turning the pages as fast as she could, looking for any mention of vampires, of how to heal or cure one, how to bring one back to

Luna and Finn exchanged a look, silently debating whether to trust him. “Okay,” Luna said finally, pulling out the book and holding it up. “We found this.” Kieran’s smile faltered slightly as he took the book, his fingers brushing over the worn leather. “Where did you get this?” “It was in the dresser,” Luna said. “Do you know what it says?” Kieran opened it, his eyes scanning the pages. His expression turned thoughtful, almost... nostalgic. “It’s in Latin,” he said after a moment. “Latin?” Finn asked, tilting his head. “Is that like French?”

Sky had a headache reading the books for almost three hours by now, her grandmother insisted that she has to read and understand more of the Latin words. “Latin is regarded as a death language, but not for us witches.” Said Calista to her. “You don’t have to remember every word, but at least understand the basics of the roots of the knowledgeable language, it gives a unique flavor to your magic and…” “Alright, grandmother, let me read this book again, okay!” Not wanting to hear another lore about Latin words, Sky raised her hand and instead lured her to go outside of the library along with all of her entourage which are the coven members. “Now, how about you go back to your business and let

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.
