Booktok Door Frame Lean Novels & Stories

I tilted my head, giving a small nod. Kyle reached out and pressed the spine of a blue book. It shifted. Slide inward. A soft, mechanical click followed, and the entire bookshelf trembled before slowly pulling away—revealing a hidden door concealed behind it. My breath caught. Kyle stepped closer, gripping the golden doorknob. He twisted it twice in opposite directions. Click. The sound echoed softly in the stillness. Then, with a long, creaking sigh— the door opened. My jaw fell open the moment I stepped inside.

Luckily, no urgent calls interrupted our sleep so that we could get enough to tackle the day. We didn’t linger in bed long. I moved to the bathroom to get a shower and Kaden went to the bedroom door to get dressed in his bedroom. I heard a crack and turned around to see the bedroom door’s hinged half-torn from the wood. The upper one was the only one still holding on. “What happened,” I asked as I came to check. “I have no idea,” he said checking at the state of the hinges. “There’s no rust. The doorframe’s wood is in good condition.”

I glared darkly at the lock, feeling frusterated that the only obstacle between us and Maxwell, was a rusted lock. "Look at the hinges on the door. They are metal pegs. If we can find something to whack them out with, we could prbably unhinge the door. The only thing keeping this door together, is the weight of the wrought iron." Seria said pointing to the cylinder shaped pegs holding the edge of the door to the wrought iron cage. I grinned at her, thankful she was quick on her feet. But the problem was, we didn't have a whole lot of time to search for something strong enough to loosen a few pegs. As we speak, Laylia and her goons where probably on their way down.

he said when he opened the door and I didn't waste the opportunity to rush in, tucking myself between the door leaf and the frame. It could have been Ben's prohibition that stopped him from letting me in. "Are you hiding something?" My eyes scanned the entire view of the room that was actually the same size as my apartment, but the four-meter-high end of the room was partitioned off like two floors. A thin floor mattress was visible in the loft above the pantry, complete with a low table supporting a laptop. "Wow! This looks more spacious." The space near the door is dominated by bookshelves and a low circular table that is wide enough for Japanese houses to greet. The floor looks like wood

He looks fragile, as if he has miraculously aged overnight. I guess it’s all the guilt he’s been forced to endure now that the truth is out in the open. “What happened to the door? Did someone try to break in?” I ask with concern. When I knocked on the door, I noticed that the door frame was split and the door was uneven on the hinges.

The right wing of the house, although clean and well-groomed, appears to be hardly ever used. Renee looked to the left and found a large golden door, curiously she opened the door handle. It seemed hard and stuck, but then after Renee's few tries, the door opened with a little difficulty, with a creaking sound due to the hinges that had not been oiled for a long time.

Or, What do you expect when you treat everyone around you like garbage? Instead, I tell her, “We can argue about this later.” “There won’t be a later!” Leah shouts. Too loud. Far too loud. Whatever had been looking for us in the hallway begins to pound on the door. That lock is flimsy, meant only to direct and deter the slaves. There’s no real threat in it. It’s not meant to keep out monsters. The wood of the door begins to splinter. What surprises me, in my panic-addled brain, is how the door seems more likely to give before the lock. Perhaps it’s not such a flimsy lock as I previously thought.

I stood in the deep shadow of the alcove, my back flat against the brick wall, staring at the door handle of Unit 3B. The door was completely standard—cheap wood laminate with a single deadbolt. But as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I noticed something that made my stomach turn over. The small piece of clear scotch tape I always put across the bottom seam of the door frame whenever I left her place secure was gone. It hadn't just peeled off from the moisture; there was a tiny, jagged corner of adhesive still stuck to the wood, torn violently down the middle. Someone had opened the door.

If this is not a trap, then what is the reason for this absurdity? Inspector Kim steeled her courage and peeked into the space behind the big door. This place is as big as a two-bedroom with a bare minimum of furniture on it. The concept applied to this room is the eye-catching Victorian style. Many frames decorated the empty wall. One of the frames has six people stand in front of a beautiful outdoor garden.

It crashes to the tile. I drag it to the bedroom door. I wedge the corner of the bathroom door into the crack. A lever. I brace my feet against the wall. I pull with everything I have. CRACK. The frame shatters. The deadbolt rips free of the dry rot. The bedroom door swings open. I sprint down the hallway. It’s empty. Ghostly. I fly down the stairs, skipping steps, my hand sliding down the railing. The clubhouse is silent. Eerily silent.
