I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. Girl number eleven was now too close to Ace, as if she wanted to sit on her lap. She kept nudging for his biceps, rubbing her arms against Ace’s from time to time. Ace seemed to be oblivious of the lustful stares he was getting from the girls flocking around him. “Got it” Karen came back catching he breathe with three books in her hands. “Here.” “What am I going to do with these?” grabbing the offered books to me, the book on top was entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’

Muslim Girl and If I Speak by Umm Zakiyyah, The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, Three Daughters Of Eve by Elif Shafak, On Black Sister's Street by Chika Unigwe, And Then There Was None by Agatha Christie, A Time To Kill by John Grisham and finally, A History Of The Wives Of Prophet Muhammad by Umam Kahn. She picked up the last book which was actually a journal and tucked in its side were plack pencils with bookish scribbles on them.

She asks before taking a long toke straight from the bottle, grossing me out, and it must show on my face because she cackles again. 'Course you don't. I say nothing, staring at her as if she just crawled out of the woodwork, as she takes another long drink from the bottle of liqueur that she is holding. When she speaks again, her Texas drawl is so slurred I can barely understand her.

“I knew it! You’re Ashin Kim!” I looked at Kieran who was laughing at the girl’s reaction. He looked at me and he shrugged. “What?” I mouthed and he just shrugged once again. I looked at the girl who’s getting something out from her bag. My eyes widened when she showed me my latest book. “I’ve been buying and reading your books! You’re the best author in the history!” She beamed as she hugged me. “Author, can you sign here please? Please?” She beamed as she showed me her puppy eyes.
