Once Upon An Alpha
There was some sort of writing on the book’s cover, but I didn’t understand whatever language it was.
“Open it.” I heard a faint whisper.
“Did you say something, Aisling?” I turned to my sister, but she shook her head. Her eyes were as wide as saucers watching me unpack the trunk.
I turned my attention back to the book, and as I reached out to touch the book, a necklace fell out of the silk. I curiously picked up the chain. It had a dark brown leather cord and heavy brass crescent moon dangling off of it. Black gems encrusted the moon, making it beautiful in an eerie kind of way.
