The door opened onto hell. Kael had seen battlefields. He'd walked through the aftermath of border raids where entire villages had been put to the torch. He'd stood in the throne room while his father passed sentence on traitors, had watched men hang for crimes against the crown. Violence was not new to him. Death was not new to him. But this—this was different.

I was assaulted by the heavenly fragrance of eucalyptus and soon we had reached the part of the forest with the eucalyptus trees. “Where are we headed exactly?” Alex asked looking around. “Do you remember the shield mentioned in the book?” “Hmm… the one that shields the golden land.” “Yeah! It is said in the book that the screen is made of something vampires can’t tolerate.” “And eucalyptus oil is unbearable for vampires. That is the reason we have to the part of the forest that has eucalyptus trees. Do you really think we would reach the Golden Land if we walk through this forest?”

I p​re‌ssed. ​ “There’s something you need to s⁠ee,” he said. “Say it.” He e‌x​haled once, then spoke. “The f​ourth g​u‌ard.” My bo‍dy wen‍t still. “What about him?” I asked.‌ ⁠“He wasn’t ki⁠lled at t​he border,‍” my bet‌a said. I frowne​d. “We alr​eady knew that.”

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

How could he be certain that something was going to happen? Abruptly, Jaedon stood up. He had been so shy last night, but now he seemed on a mission. He dressed quickly and then told me to dress as well. I did. “We must tell your mother and brother of our plan. We have to tell my pack and warn our allies up North. I think a war is going to happen.” My heart began to race. A war? I dressed quickly in jeans and a sweatshirt and he took my hand in his as soon as I was finished. He kissed me softly on the lips, sending electricity throughout my body.

Johnny teased with his signature smirk when Lucas entered the meeting room. “Beta,” Lucas clapped back without blinking internally pleased when Johnny grumbled. Turning away from his best friend, he found Sierra and Bobby near the head of the table discussing something on Bobby’s tablet. Behind them, the screens they had installed showed the local and national news along with weather forecasts and video feeds across the pack territory. Lucas spared it a momentary glance but not much else. The weather looked to be finally warming up. A young woman had been found dead near a national park and all was quiet on the borders of the pack territory.

I heard Dara's voice from outside but I couldn't answer her because my sight is already blurry. I felt like running out of breath so I inhaled and exhaled until I got my normal breathing back. My sight came back to its normal state but I can feel tears falling from my eyes. Please, not now. I haven't done anything yet. Please, I don't want to let this opportunity slip away. Just please, for once. * * * "Are you sure you're okay?" Dara asked me when we're on our way to the beach where the venue of the activity will be. I nodded at her and smiled.

"Not the same kind you have. You have movies and dramas. We don't have that much entertainment where I came from," For a moment, the alien looked a little sad. "The entertainment here is crap. Nothing to be envious about," I told him. "Nothing entertaining ever happens where I came from, so while I'm here and they haven't found me yet, I am going to enjoy the hell out of your planet, Earthling." his eyes lit up and he looked like a little kid looking forward for an adventure. Wait, who is "they" and why are "they" looking for Cy?

We are getting attacked from all directions together Alpha! Bloodhounds know of our plan! I repeat bloodhounds know of our plan! Sh*t! All forces are at Northern border. Lost and confused, yet trying my best. When my mind was thinking of only one thing.

"I know! I've heard of General Landry! He's the only four-star God of War in Northern Biskeland! Trevyn is just a four-star War King, yet he's so arrogant about it. His title as the four-star War King is not even worth mentioning compared to the title of God of War! "Holy shit! He's that great?"
