Grace stood behind the curtains. She was preparing to walk on to the stage when she would be called. She was extremely nervous, had never felt like this in a long time. She tried controlling her nervousness with breathing therapy. Deep breaths. She wanted to breathe in deep then out for long. It seemed that would only work when someone's anxiety was in a minimal state not on an aggravated level that she was in, right now. She could not even take the breaths. She didn't know when she inhaled or exhaled.
