I move my head away from him. "I missed you, Violet. I missed having you in my life. A lot of things had changed after we broke up. I lived life badly when I lost you. I thought alcohol was helping me forget about you. I thought it was the solution but it wasn't. It was only making the worst out of me. And then I thought about my sons. It was the most humiliating moment in her life, but she was willing to forget about it for Ansel. "Ansel, baby. Don't be like this. I made a huge mistake, and I broke up with that guy a long time ago. I can't stop thinking about you. We have a lot of history together, and you loved me once, remember? I know you still love me. I miss you so much," she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

JAYDEN Jayden knew he was losing control, but he didn’t care. Who really looked out for Hailey? She had just broken up with her boyfriend. Was she heartbroken? Was she happy in Colorado? The way he looked at me like I was his whole world. Tears blurred the words on the page. I wiped them away and kept writing. Leaving him was supposed to save me. But every day without him makes me feel like I’m losing pieces of myself. I miss him so much it’s hard to breathe sometimes. I miss the man who made me playlists at 3 a.m. The man who opened up about his father even when it hurt. The man who loved me even when he was broken.

I fucking missed him. 

He didn't know when I removed my hand from his grip but when I came back, I willingly let him hold me back, propping my right hand on my jaws as I watch him sleep like a baby. His breathing is even and he looks more handsome while sleeping. I stare at his full brows, his nose, and his pinks. I wish what happened between us didn't happen. I wish I didn't break up with him. I don't want to go back on my words but I can't help it. I broke up with him out of anger, not because I don't love him anymore. I rub my hands over his face, wishing I can kiss him without knowing. I miss his kisses and it makes me cry.
