Anna went on her knees and gently picked up the frame. She gasps when she saw how badly broken it has become. "Oh my God, how did this happen?" she cried out touching the picture of the broken frame and then a tiny piece of the broken glass pierced her right middle finger. "Ouch" she squealed and threw off the frame on the floor and held her right middle finger tight and blood gushed out.

The glass slipped from her hand and fell to the ground directly, scattering the broken shards everywhere on the ground. She just heard the sound of broken glass and didn't expect to step on a shard when taking a further step. Her feet fell to the ground where the broken shard was, it got stabbed into the feet, like a sharp need but larger, the pain only came a bit later but was great as the blood started oozing out like water.

I cried out sharply, stumbling as the shock shot upward, slicing through my leg and settling like a burning knot in my thigh. “What—ah—!” I gasped, grabbing the edge of the counter for balance. I looked down. A shard of glass—long, sharp and blood-tinted already—was sticking out of the sole of my foot. I didn’t even realize I had stepped into the scattered pieces when I turned so quickly. But now I felt it. Every bit of it. The glass pressed deeply into my skin, and the bright red blood seeped rapidly around it, trailing down to the floor.

Pulling them towards me from the depths, I stuffed my feet into them, then turning, I headed out of the room. Fifteen seconds later all hell broke loose from my mouth at seeing I had a flat tire. With a well aimed kick of my foot, I nailed the tire, only to utter a yelp as pain shot through my big toe, then crawled its way through what felt like every bone in my foot before continuing its journey up the large bone of my calf. Doubling over, I sucked in gulps of air as moisture filled my eyes before the pain finally began to subside enough I was able to stand upright again. Cautiously wiggling my toes within my tennis shoes, I verified nothing was broken.

Now her ruined feet were paying the price for her shortsightedness. It was a good thing she'd stopped where she had, too. When she'd first sat down, she'd removed her shoes to discover blisters not only between her toes but also on the balls of her feet as well. By the time she'd stopped walking, the blisters had already burst and begun to bleed. Fingers crossed, Angus would be able to find some shoes to bring her. It would be even better if he grabbed some boots; she always left a pair of socks in her boots, and that would be sufficient to stem the bleeding until she got home and could deal with her feet.
